The Terror A fictionalized account of the Franklin expedition in search of the Northwest passage. The ships Terror and Erebus get stuck in the ice and are forced to stay put for two years with 100 or so men. Their tinned food was sealed with lead and they all get lead poisoning. Many go sick and insane from it. A mutant killer polar bear is one of the many problems they face. ends in cannabalism and murder. Horribly well done 10 episodes.

^ I love the short reviews for each TV show. The Terror was excellent, agreed. There is a second season which has absolutely nothing to do with the first - it's not bad though:

Yes I wonder why the 2nd season is called the terror. But I will watch it. This Virgin River is pretty good. It starts back up in a few weeks. I have yet to watch Yellowstone but I probably will. |

Yellowstone is coming to an end currently with a few episodes left to air. It's being 'replaced' by Landman starring Billy Bob Thornton which has just started up, and is about the US oil industry. Thornton plays a 'fixer' type character who is forced to do some occasionally dangerous high paid work in order to pay the alimony for his divorce from his beautiful ex wife (played by the still impossibly good looking Ali Larter). It's a lot of fun and worth checking out based on the 2 episodes I've watch so far.

Recommend From on MGM+.....crazy weird horror, and Evil is also great with Michael Emerson playing a goofy acolyte of Satan.

The Listeners 2024 (4 episodes)
A teacher is suddenly plagued by strange sounds that no one else can hear. The low rating on IMDB of 5.4 may be down to the ending not being tied up in a nice neat bow. I liked it despite that, it's well acted and very well written going into areas I wasn't expecting. 8/10

Shogun (the recent one) I was skeptical about this recent series matching the most excellent original from 1980 with Richard Chamberlain, but I was very impressed. Great acting, screenplay, and sets and special effects. The recent Shogun has some important differences in the plot compared to the original, and they pull things off quite professionally. Loved it.
