@Julien. Just out of interest, I wonder if you might point your script at the database again and find out how many biographies and albums contain the dreaded where there should be a letter with a diacritic above it?
This has been an ongoing problem with the admin panel for about 20 months now, so in theory there shouldn't be any before March 2023, but I was wondering how many instances of this have crept though unnoticed. I guess whether we bother to fix them will depend on how many there actually are, but it would be interesting to know this. There is of course the other problem where curly apostrophes and quotation marks get replaced by question marks, but I expect there will be quite a lot more of those lurking about. Edit: I spoke too soon about there not being any of these before March 2023 in theory. The PA Reviews Guidelines page had a couple back in February 2012, which are now showing as curly quotation marks, and these two biographies must have been added when the site was very young: Though of course somebody might have opened those two pages in the admin panel at some point since and spoilt them. This curse has even infected the forums in the dim and distant past. This post was from February 2008 (the text in the original list contained Discogs style long dashes where the are).

There's a duplicate live entry on the Bardo Pond page:
The first entry is correct and more detailed, and therefore the second should be deleted. Both were rated by the same user, so I don't feel as bad in getting rid of the redundancy.

^ I think the cover image needs updating on this album too. According to Discogs, the cover image we currently have is the one for the special "limited to 125 copies" edition in a "hash pipe" sleeve. The standard version was limited to 600 copies and came in an orange sleeve. Due to a printing error, the first pressing of the discs featured the wrong shade of orange on the actual CD, so the disc was repressed and released with the right colour. Some of the miscoloured discs were repackaged in this different "hash pipe" sleeve and sold in a limited edition of 125 copies. The notation (PMS721) on the outer sleeve of this version refers to the colour of the print on the CD.
RYM's page for this album also has the orange sleeve as its cover image.

David, this is a nice idea. We could do that soon. But not now, let me explain why. My script is very powerful, but it depends on my local database, which is a copy of the PA database. My local database isn't updated very often, and takes a long time to do so (several days, at least). For example, I just searched for "" in my database, and found 5 results. My guess is that there is more, but I must update my database before to be sure. So I will add this "task" on my to-do list, and come back to you when I have accurate results. For now, I have: ... and the culprits are NotAProghead, Mirakaze and Gordy ... hahaha! About biographies, it's the same logic. So stay tuned... maybe in the next months?

^^ Thanks Julien, no rush.
Yeah, there's got to be a few biographies with this error in them. I found those two that I listed above with just a crude Google search.
As for the albums above, Gordy has fixed the in his album and one of the two Mirakaze ones, but both of the Mirakaze ones need some attention to the track times as well as the remaining error. Eugene will no doubt fix his two when he next logs in. Here's the info for the Yggdrasill (with Risa Takeda) album if you want to finish it off properly: 1. Jotun (5:45) 2. Knoll (4:15) 3. Tanakvísl (6:57) 4. Bladderworts (5:12) 5. Trench (6:19) 6. Walhalla (3:40) 7. Keage (7:19) 8. Poggendorff (6:05) 9. Bifrost (6:06) 10. Hvergelmir (2:13) 11. Wundt (4:06) 12. Gjöll (4:19) 13. Sanderia (10:19) Total Time 72:35 - Tatsuya Yoshida / drums, vocals, synthesizer, piano (10) - Risa Takeda / piano, synthesizer, effects All tracks recorded by Tatsuya Yoshida between 27th June 2023 and 28th March 2024 CD Magaibutsu Limited - MGC-71 (July 24, 2024, Japan) (Couldn't find this one as a digital album anywhere) And the other Mirakaze album needs total time adding, plus maybe the tracks that the guests performed on also adding? 1. Live Hubris Part 1 (21:32) 2. Live Hubris Part 2 (1:56) 3. Live Hubris Part 3 (23:53) Total Time 47:21 - Oren Ambarchi / guitar, voice With: - Francis Plagne / guitar - Julia Reidy / guitar - Mats Gustafsson / baritone saxophone (3) - Johan Berthling / bass (1,3) - Andreas Werliin / drums (3) - Joe Talia / drums (3), guitar (1) - Will Guthrie / drums (3) - Adam Scheflan / guitar (1,3) - François Bonnet / guitar (1,3) - James Rushford / guitar (1,3) - Konrad Sprenger / electronics - Eiko Ishibashi / flute, electronics (1,3) - Jim O'Rourke / guitar synthesizer (1) - Crys Cole / voice (2,3) Recorded live May 13, 2019 at Cafe Oto, London This performance was the final set of the three-day Oren Ambachi at 50 / Black Truffle at 10 festival, May 11-13, 2019 Composed by Oren Ambarchi Recorded by Shaun Crook Mixed by Joe Talia, Oren Ambarchi Mastered by Joe Talia Vinyl LP Black Truffle - BT083 (December 10, 2021, Australia) Digital album December 10 2021 Note: I couldn't find any reference on discogs of an Albert Marcour playing guitar on this album - he seems to have been erroneously added into the credits instead of Francis Plagne. |

^ Thanks enrique, done: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=87733.
Note: The CD was released on 11th June, and although the album wasn't available on Bandcamp until the end of June, other digital platforms also give the release date as 11th June. I also updated the cover with the one from Bandcamp, which is square rather than oblong.

I just listen to Greco Bastian's 2024 album. According to bandcamp, this is called "WAHLF MORE F."
https://grecobastian.bandcamp.com/album/walhf-more-f Our page
https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=85628 calls it "With a little hell from my friends", which is actually the title of his 2022 album (apparently correctly listed here: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=76896). Also the 2024 album cover is wrong and belongs to "hell". Otherwise the information (tracks and line-up) seems correct for 2024, i.e., the title and cover need changing. Apparently I could change the title but I have no idea how to change the cover. |

^ It seems that both covers are technically correct. The current cover that we have (grey) would appear to be the one accompanying the self-released version of the album, and the yellow/orange one seems to be associated with the Azafrán Media version, both of which seem to have been simultaneously released on July 9th this year.
Here are the two Discogs pages: Azafrán Media version: https://www.discogs.com/release/32323269-Greco-Basti%C3%A1n-With-A-Little-Hell-From-MORE-Friends. Self-released version: https://www.discogs.com/release/31199932-Greco-Basti%C3%A1n-With-A-Little-Hell-From-MORE-Friends. RYM has both versions as separate entries. The musicians info we that we currently have isn't quite right either. There is no mention of Tatsuya Yoshida playing drums on track 8 - either on our page or on either of the Discogs ones - and he is definitely included on the Bandcamp CD inlay image. There are some other musicians credits errors on our page too, as well as two of the musicians being included on the same line in the credits. I also don't believe that including all the bands that the guest musicians have previously played with in the credits is really necessary - it just makes that section look very untidy and difficult to follow imho. I can sort all this out and post a corrected version of the credits here later on tonight if required, but I'll certainly just let someone else decide which of the covers to use on our page for the album.

Thanks, looks like I haven't paid enough attention. So then the entry was more correct than I thought and you just do what you think is right (as of course you'd have done anyway).

Corrected line-up (without including the bands that the musicians have previously played with after their names) for the Azafrán Media version: - Hey Figueroa / bass (4,6-8) - Gerardo Ramlop / xylophone (3,5,7) - Paolo Botta / keyboards, effects (2,6) - Samo Salamon / all guitar solos (5), 1st guitar solo (8) - Armando Lagarda / rhythm guitar (1) - Antonio Garcidueñas / drums (1) - Patrick Gauthier / piano solo (3), keyboards (7) - Miguel Saenger C. / drums (3,7) - Bernard Falaise / electric guitars (6), guitar solo (7), 2nd guitar solo (8) - Vincent Sicot-Vantalon / keyboards, effects (1) - Emanuele Sterbini / bass (1) - Shawn Persinger / electric guitar (1), 2nd & 3rd guitar solos (2), 1st guitar solo (3) - Marc Ducret / guitar solo (1), 2nd guitar solo (3), midsection electric guitars (4) - Ben Spees / electric guitar (2) - Oliver Campbell / bass (2) - Connor Reilly / drums (2) - Markus Reuter / 1st guitar solo (2), 3rd guitar solo (8) - Anthony Béard / electric guitar (3) - Salvador Govea / keyboards (3) - Joe Lester / bass (3) - Matt Hollenberg / electric guitar (4) - Jonathan Piña-Duluc / saxophone (4) - Alonzo Arjona / drums (4) - Alan Benjamin / electric guitar (5) - Ed RosenBerg III / saxophone (5) - Craig Walkner / drums (5) - Steve Marek / bass (5) - Juan Belda / keyboards, effects (5) - Rémi Leclerc / drums & percussion (6) - Håkan Almkvist / electric guitar (7) - Ivan Rozmainsky / keyboards, effects (8) Now, it appears from what info is available at the moment that there are two different versions of track 8 'Kobaïan Call To War (Part 2)' on the self-released and Azafrán Media versions, since on RYM the timings for the two releases are different for this track (2:57 vs 3:09) whereas they are the same for all the others. This explains the absence of Tatsuya Yoshida on drums for this track in our current listing. It would appear that the two versions of this track featured the same keyboardist and bassist, but a totally different guitar and drum set up, with the self-released version featuring the rhythm guitar of Armando Lagarda, who also plays rhythm on Kobaïan Call To War (Part 1), and just one guitar soloist, whereas the Azafrán Media version featured no rhythm guitar but had three different soloists. The drummer on the self-released version of Kobaïan Call To War (Part 2) was Antonio Garcidueñas, the same guy who plays on track 1 'Kobaïan Call To War (Part 1)'. So, in summary I'd use the above info from the Bandcamp/Azafrán Media version on our page, change the cover to the corresponding yellow/orange one, and then add a note at the bottom about the apparent differences in track 8 compared to the self-released version, along with the alternative cover image that this version has. If you really feel the need to list the bands that all these musicians have previously played with, then maybe include it as a separate list as on Bandcamp: - Matt Hollenberg (John Zorn, Titan To Tachyons) - The Mercury Tree (Ben Spees, Oliver Campbell & Connor Reilly) - Markus Reuter (Stick Men, The Crimson Projekct) - Marc Ducret (Tim Berne, Bobby Previte) - Patrick Gauthier (Magma, Weidorje) - Paolo Botta (Yugen, Ske, French TV) - Bernard Falaise (Miriodor, Ensemble Supermusique) - Alan Benjamin (Advent, Mirthrandir) - Tatsuya Yoshida (Koenjihyakkei, Ruins) - Anthony Beard (Ni, Piniol, Scherzoo) - Rémi Leclerc (Miriodor, Les Projectionnistes) - Emanuele Sterbini (Sterbus) - Craig Walkner (Far Corner, William Kopecky) - Ed RosenBerg III (Jerseyband, Kilter) - Håkan Almkvist (Ensemble Nimbus, Hans Bruniusson) - Ivan Rozmainsky (Roz Vitalis, Compassionizer) - Vincent Sicot-Vantalon (Unit Wail, Scherzoo) - Joe Lester (Intronaut, Mouth of the architect) - Samo Šalamon (Quartet, Quintet...) - Shawn Persinger (Boud Deun, Prester John) - Steve Marek (Monobody, Loose Lips Sink Ships) - Salvador Govea (Iconoclasta, Govea) - Jonathan Piña-Duluc (Proyecto Piña-Duluc, El Trío) - Juan Belda (Juan Belda Bit Band, Skalectric) Edit: I forgot to mention, if you go for the Bandcamp/Azafrán Media version, then the timing of track 8 will need to be changed to 3:09 and the total time to 42:21.

^ Sorry, David, our posts appaered at the same time. I have to read yours carefully. But regarding the cover:
I'd suggest to use this cover (from CD and Bandcamp page) and change the album title to "W.A.L.H.F. MORE F." or "W.A.L.H.F. MORE F. (With a Little Help From MORE Friends)".
