I remember 'It's A Knockout' well, compulsory Friday evening viewing back in the early 70's.

We were very easily pleased back then. LOL

Another 1970's family show with fond memories was The Generation Game, hosted by Larry Grayson, seen here introducing ABBA where they perform Thank You for the Music.

Linda was awsome. This album of hers had some Jazz heavyweights playing on it.

People diss Mantovani, but if you ever check him out he came up with some classic stuff. Midnight Cowboy is a favorite.

^ I always associate Midnight Cowboy with John Barry, but I love Mantovani's version too, which I'm listening to now for the first time. Thumbs Up

Mantovani is a bit more Orchestral.  Great stuff that I overlooked for years and years.

^^ Hopefully, I'll have the first Pick of the Pops Easy Listening playlist coming up sometime tomorrow. Alright? Not 'arf! Smile

I'd love to choose Linda Lawson for the letter "L" on the A-Z playlist, but I think Julie London may just have the edge. Heart

I'd forgotten Julie London was in Emergency. I'm just old enough to remember that show. Smile

Timi Yuro will be an obvious pick for the letter "Y on my A-Z playlist, but I'm not sure yet about the letter "O". I just know it won't be Des O'Connor. Tongue

Two artists came from Rosemead California, where I graduated in 1975

Vicki Cardona. Her family owned a paving Company. They just named the Rosemead High School Auditorium after her a few months ago. She graduated a few years before me ... 65 I think

Also Audie Desbrow of Great White. (Long time drummer) who graduated in my Rosemead class of 75 and jammed in garages with the rest of us wannabe Rockers.
