^ that has the "." in youtube, which you don't want for embedding at this forum. The link, which I was automatically redirected to, without it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHR8Hh0pZ0Y

TO embed that, for any who might not know, you copy the number/letter identifier after v=, which is in this case is EHR8Hh0pZ0Y. Then you add tube tags to it. Here it is with added spaces that break the embed: [ tube] EHR8Hh0pZ0Y [/ tube]

Removed all spaces from that and it is:

One can see the proper BB code/ how it's done by quoting posts with embeds.

samlrc's "Storge" off the album A Lonely Sinner, which was released the day before my birthday on March 8, 2024.

Bella Ciao has become a sort of antifascist anthem as it was used by the Italian partizans during the Nazist occupation of Italy in 1943-1945. Interestingly, the lyrics speak of "invader" without mentioning either the German nor the fascists.

What is less known is that the original song was a chant of the "mondine", women who worked in the rice farms in Piedmont, constantly with their legs into cold water. Probably the female equivalent of working into mines.

So even if the Youtube video calls it "original" it's a cover of a song written by an anonymous artist one century before.
