Bernie Shaw was briefly in a band called Grand Prix where he met another future member of UH - Phil Lanzon. Bernie sang on their debut only, while Phil played on all their three albums.

I'm sure Phil played in a few bands plus if I remember right he's got solo albums as well.

Peter Goalby has also been in quite a few bands (looking at wiki right now, I didn't know he sang in a few other bands and even solo, I need to check out a few when i have the time).

Lucifer's Friend is one of my particular favourites in our Heavy Prog category. And I have enjoyed The Gods' Genesis.

It's good to see another vote for Ken Hensley, who's even more popular here than Ken Barlow. Tongue

John Sloman caught my eye. He was lead singer for the brilliant heavy prog band Lone Star before moving onto Uriah Heep as well as UFO (with ex LS guitarist Paul Chapman) as well as The Gary Moore Band briefly. He has also released 9 solo albums the last being a couple of years ago. His debut (in the list above) was recorded in 1984 and produced by Todd Rundgren but was not released until 1989. Need to check it out.

Gypsy:- The first track from Uriah Heep's thunderous first album performed here in a Live rockin' and rollickin' version by Ken Hensley, John Lawton (without the make-up) and some other guy. Smile
