For me, it's "You Only Move Twice". I would also place (not as the best episodes, but close to the throne) "Bart on the Road", "Simpson and Delilah", and "Treehouse of Horror V".

I haven;t seen all, no idea of best, have loved Treehouse of Horror, but the first that came to my mind is The Joy of Sect.

You Only Move Twice is my favorite. If you ever worked for a young ex-hippie "progressive" boss in the 80s, then you would get a lot of the humor about the boss, Hank Scorpio. The fact that he turns out to be totally evil confirmed what I thought of my progressive yuppie boss. Hank's character is based loosely on Richard Branson, the ultimate 80s style 'new age boss'.

The scene where the Simpsons first encounter their new pretty bedroom community looks a lot like the drive into Walnut Creek CA, the shiny new expensive suburb just outside of Oakland/Berkeley.

Hi,

Never got to see much of it ... at the time my TV time was spent on BBC America and some of the shows that were far out. Don't even remember the titles of the shows ... there was one that the guy was in charge of the bed & breakfast place and his romantic adventures ... kinda weird, but interesting, specially the odd couple of old folks. Also got to see one about the stewardesses and saw it going really cheap and bought it ... did get to see that series of shows about the English guys in Spain, with Sean Bean ... (Sharpe's ... ended up getting all the dvd's ... it was a really good show. I think I saw some Red Dwarf, and then that couple ended up in another sci-fi series that kinda went down hill some ... they couldn't be funny ... maybe it was the last year of Stargate ... can't remember.

Other than that I have not, yet, gotten attached to a lot of the streaming stuff ... only have Prime for now.

Wasn't the Chef, a part of the Simpsons? (Isaac Hayes)

I haven't seen all the episodes, and it's still one of the best TV sitcoms.

Don't know the name... when the family went to counseling and shocked each other with glee. Classic.

I spend a lot of time with Mum and in her 80's she is constantly doing that falling asleep at a moments notice thing just like Grandpa! I think Pedro is right about Isaac Hayes playimng Chef. He was an amusing character. Homer was always a bit of a prog fan it seemed.

No. That was South Park.

Hi,

I wasn't really sure and did not check beforehand. I did like Isaac Hayes stuff and still have some of the albums.

I don't know if I'd call it my favourite, but a standout episode for me is the one in which Bart sells his soul to Milhouse. The episode starts with Bart pranking the local church with a hymn called "In the Garden of Eden" by I. Ron Butterfly:

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.
