^ Well, I like to bend the rules. It may sound strange, as I'm an official member of the E&O team, but I always try to make the pages as clear and straightforward as possible. Also, I always keep a backup before changing anything.
So you wrote: Digital album Matziz Records (28 July 2020, France) not Digital album Matziz Records (July 28 2020, France) and I changed it to: Label: Matziz Records Format: Digital July 28, 2020 I believe the "Mayer format" is easier to read in this case. Feel free to think otherwise. The country isn't important here IMO, as it's a digital release anyway. The official guidelines are fine for old releases with lots of reissues, but for all modern digital albums, I prefer the "Mayer format". And don't start me on capital letters in non-English titles !!! Edit: BTW, I also corrected the instrument "oude" to "oud" on this page.

Oops, I touched a nerve, Sorry.
I was just looking for clarification after my entry had been altered so that I didn't make the same mistake again. I think it might be best if I didn't edit any more albums to be honest, and let you guys in the E&O team take care of them, which is really how it should be anyway. I was in two minds whether it was a wise move to agree to become a collab again after I was offered the role in the Crossover team, and I might need to have a rethink about that. I didn't even know what an oud (or oude) was, and just assumed that what Mathieu had written was correct. I'm way out of my depth here with English being the only language I know.

^ David, sorry if my previous post sounded agressive.
I'm not mad about you, I'm not even mad at all. You didn't make a mistake either, it's just a matter of preferences. The "rules" are rather old and not always applicable IN MY OPINION. I wouldn't have touched your addition if it was not for the "oude" thing. And BTW you're way better in English than I am, it just happens that I know lots of musical instrument names! So please stay with us and continue your great job... we need you!

^ Yeah, it did a bit lol!
Not to worry though, I guess I was out of line questioning your action to begin with since it's your job to ensure that album additions are done properly, and I didn't notice that you'd also fixed the oude error with mine. It looked to me when I first saw it that you'd edited it purely because of the releases info formatting, and I just wondered why. All forgotten now anyway, so let's move on. I had just added a possible update here for the M'Z biography (as a kind of 'thank you' to Mathieu for his help with the instrumentation of the albums) when I noticed that post last night, and immediately deleted it when I'd read what you'd written lol! So, now that we're all good again, here's that biography update post again, which maybe Eugene could cast his eye over: I suggest a slight update to the current M'Z biography, since there was only a single release when it was originally written back in 2018. Current biography: M'Z is a musical moniker of French composer and musician Mathieu TORRES. Under this specific project, TORRES combines modern electronic music with jazz sensibilities to create conceptual works like basing the currently only album on the idea of prisms and colors in parallel with musical modes. Music itself can be recommended to fans of composers like SQUAREPUSHER with some focus on ambient, trip-hop or IDM genres in combination with occasional heavier guitar oriented jazz rock in the vein of PLINI for example. We could maybe expand it a little to something like this - keeping virtually all the original one and adding in some extracts from the official M'Z website biography? M'Z is a solo project of French composer and musician Mathieu TORRES, which was created in 2017 and is shaped by a wide variety of music. Mathieu is the also the guitarist and composer in a number of other artistic projects, such as LA THÉORIE DES CORDES, ZHORHANN, THE DIOGEMES, MATZIZ, DIRT IN THE WIND and others, but under this specific project TORRES combines various progressive rock styles with metal, electronica, noise, jazz, free-rock, ambient, psyche, punk and drum'n bass - the focus being on creating works which explore parallels between poetic or philosophical concepts and music without setting aesthetic barriers. As an example, M'Z's debut album 'Prisme' (2017) revolved around the idea of looking at feelings and colors in parallel with musical modes, and the music itself can be recommended to fans of composers like SQUAREPUSHER with some focus on ambient, trip-hop or IDM genres in combination with occasional heavier guitar oriented jazz rock in the vein of PLINI for example. Later albums probe much more complex sociological topics, and as of September 2024, M'Z has released four full albums, an EP and six singles. The person who added the artist is no longer a member of the site, so I don't think permission would need to be sought to update the biography in this instance. Edit: On second thoughts, we'd best run it past the current JR/F Team before making any changes. I'm guessing Mike is the leader of the team since he's the longest serving member, but all three of them are S.C.s and can take care of additions etc. Edited by yam yam - September 27 2024 at 07:38 |

OK i added THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEX OPERA BAND to psychedelic space rock and it was a disaster. First of all it went to the T section alphabetically as i guess i'm supposed to add it like this: FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEX OPERA BAND, THE My bad But worse yet is that it was added twice and i don't think i can delete one of the entries I'll fix one of them so it appears in the F but can someone delete this second entry? This one Thanks :) |

^I'm going to finish Tantric Bile this evening; I can just go ahead and overwrite the first FISO entry (the all-caps one) once I'm done with the biography.

it's not normal, but some bands choose some kind of anonymity, I'll look for a logo or something similar and edit later.

Always hate to suggest this, but someone should update Catherine Ribeiro (+ Alpes) and Perry Leopold's biographies to note their recent deaths.
EDIT: And Harold Budd's page, too: https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5471 Edited by Gordy - September 30 2024 at 00:12 |

I appreciate it. My hero Jon Hassell could also use an acknowledgement of his passing. |

Good morning.
About the band PIAH MATER, I'm in touch with its vocalist, Luiz Felipe. There are some informations he sent to me and you might as well add. Their debut had drum programming, and Luiz Felipe also assumed bass and keyboards. The drummer Kalki was part of the band only between 2016 and 2018. Thanks.

I don't know whether you want to update the latest Kite Parade album, 'Disparity', which was released yesterday. The track times are available on Bandcamp, and we know that Jimmy Pallagrosi plays drums on the album, with guest vocals by Christina Booth on track 3 and Lynsey Ward (of Exploring Birdsong) on track 5. Marcin Palider guests on bass, and definitely features on track 5 (see the note below the video here), but I'm not sure if he plays on any of the other tracks. The White Knight Records CD reference is WKKPCD0924 according to Discogs, and the CD back cover image confirms this, but they've got the release date wrong at the moment.
This review of the album lists several more guest credits, and seems to suggest that Marcin Palider contributes some bass throughout the album, but I'm not able to confirm it at the moment. The review spells Lynsey Ward's Christian name wrongly, so I'm not sure we can trust it completely. I guess you could update with all the info that currently seems to be available, and we'll just have to wait a bit longer before we can confirm Marcin Palider's contribution to the album. 1. Fraternal Angels (5:29) 2. Open Your Heart (1:36) 3. Is this All there Is? (2:14) 4. This World is Mine (3:03) 5. Broken (7:27) 6. Forgotten Youth (5:13) 7. Is there Hope? (4:02) 8. Make it Beautiful (7:32) 9. Listen to the Angels (3:38) Total Time 40:14 - Andy Foster / vocals, backing vocals, guitars, bass, saxophone, keyboards, keyboard programming With: - Jimmy Pallagrosi / drums - Marcin Palider / bass - Christina Booth / vocals (3) - Lynsey Ward / vocals (5) - London Lawhon / backing vocals (1,4,8,9) - Krysta Staboulis / backing vocals (4) - Anthony Cooper / Hammond solo (4) - Ron Vint / congas, bongos (4) CD White Knight Records - WKKPCD0924 (4th Oct 2024, UK & Europe) Digital album
