To be honest I don't normally pay enough attention to lyrics to get a genuine understanding that the song is about. Aqualung is my favorite song out of these and I must have heard it more than fifty times. I could vote for most of those David if it came down to tracks I like, but being as you are asking for their  'Socially engaged' credentials, I have gone for Aqualung, which I have always found particularly affecting in this regard..
