A Problem I've Been Having For Some Time

For about 1-2 weeks or so, when I delete the tiny box at the top-left corner of the post writing platform, the cursor disappears and I cannot write anything and/or post any image at all. If I don't delete it, this happens (see below). I guess this doesn't happen to everyone, or might only befall me.

Go to your member Control Panel and look for Edit Profile, look for this option:
Enable the WYSIWYG post editor
See if you have that marked Yes or No.

Well thats weird, I got rid of my gibberish by switching to Yes, and it went away and then I went back to NO and it stayed gone.
I guess your problem is unique, contact one of the admins.
In the meantime, maybe try switching back to No and see what happens.

^^ I made it yes-no alternately a couple of times, it unfortunately doesn't solve the problem. Thank you two, anyways. I'll try it with another browser sometime, and see if this annoying thing is related to something on my Chrome.

Also, works fine now on Chrome.

The fonts of the writing rectangle've changed (& got a little larger), plus that small box/square is totally gone.

Anyhow, my problem is solved. Thanks for your feedback, y'all.

Oops. I have to use a different rectangular typing/posting area, if I'll do it on Chrome, I guess. I cannot directly put images this way (I can always put the links, no problem), and also the smileys are shown in BBcodes. If I make it "no" again, that tiny box/square returns, and so does that gibberish annoyance... I unerringly have tried this multiple times.


No big deal, I presume. I'll get used to it, or else just use Edge.
