In this poll are 26 acts with albums I enjoy. Please vote for and mention any you like in the list, if you like any of them, and mention your own favourites.
Feel free to vote for three, or more, or less, from the list (no more than one vote per act, please). Some not listed that you might consider for your own lists: Fairport Convention, Finch, Fireballet, Fantômas, Fates Warning, The Flower Kings, Frost*, Robert Fripp, Fripp & ENo, Faun, Faun Fables, Flamen Dialis, Fruup, Sally French, Flatulence, Fresh Maggots.... Fractale is one I really liked that I did not list. Note that while I would have included Andre Fertier's Clivage, I already added it under C as Clivage. Also, not all of these are in PA. Fire! Orchestra I see is in PA under Fire! I had not thought it was. Fishmans, Flotation Toy Orchestra {EDIT: I meant to say Flotation Toy Warning in the post} and John Frusciante are not in PA, but very applicable to this site, I believe. So, I encourage people to mention what they like regardless of what's in the list. I don't do these as contests and am more interested in the posts than just the poll. Of course others use "Other" in the poll but I don't like to and would prefer to fill up the options and anyone can mention any of their favourites that are not on the list. I've always encouraged that even if I have asked people to comment on what they know and like from my list, if any are applicable. So please do think outside of the "poll box" and share YOUR favourites! Thanks. Edited by Logan - August 21 2024 at 15:19 |

Focus, Edgar Froese
I'd have added Flamborough Head (saw them live at the CRS, back in the day), tFK (but only a few albums tbh), Frost* and again for old times sake, Fates Warning... Edited by Jared - August 23 2024 at 01:59 |

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Greg Foat & Fabio Frizzi + Faust -but that third vote almost went to Flower Travellin' Band. Faust "won" because they've got more minutes of music that I enjoy.

Far Corner are great. Their album Risk mixed symphonic and RIO so well. Also voted for Edgar Froese and Focus. Edgar's solo albums are as good as the TD albums that were being released at the same time IMO. Focus are legends and their recent album is close to being my favourite album of the year so far.

Far Corner, Focus, and Fred Frith. My flow coefficient is dimensionless and, like the Apollo space program, a bag of prime meridians.

From that list: either Focus or Far Corner...
(The correct answer is The Flower Kings though.)

Family - I love Chappo's voice and Entertainer is one of my all time favorite albums Froese - As a TD fan what should I say? Fire! Orchestra - One of my best recent discoveries Far East Family Band - The first band of the great Kitaro, before he turned into a newage artist

Sweet, before I saw that Fire! Orchestra was in PA, which was after I made my choices, I had not expected that any at the forum would even recognise the name. It's one of my most recent discoveries. Edited by Logan - August 22 2024 at 12:08 |
