Kansas > Rainbow > Asia. All the napkins you could ever want, plus gas!

Not sure putting The Who and The Stones in this poll series is a good idea. Different generations, but I guess you could say the same thing about the 80's bands as well.

my faves :

               Aerosmith - Get Your Wings

               Heart – Magazine

Journey - Look into the Future

               Queen - Queen II

               Rainbow - Rising

Rising is my fave, but GYW needs my vote more.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

^ Well, whether it's the sixties or the eighties, it's all My Generation (having been born in 1959) and I like all of the bands in this poll, especially now that Loverboy's no longer in the poll and Meat Loaf has flown in like a Bat Out of Hell. Smile

Kansas > Toto > Rainbow > Rush > Queen
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I had to think about this. I wanted to vote for Song for America, but Rising has both Ronnie James Dio and Tony Carey, two of my favorite musical entities in any genre, and therefore that album has a slight edge. Both are top-botch records.
