THE ELECTRIC BANANA       The Pretty Things by any other name, and these are mind-bending neon bananas, not your EU-regulation straight bananas.

THE ELECTRIC PRUNES     I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night (It must have been all that cheese I ate). 

ELMIRA      Not Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, but Elmira, Lady of the Mountain, a rough-edged Danish psych album that sounds like it was recorded in the back of someone's garage in Copenhagen by a band who've never seen the inside of a recording studio. 

THE END       This is The End, Beautiful Friend, This is The End, My Only Friend, The End.... If you open The Doors of Perception slightly ajar, you'll discover The End, a short-lived British band who arose from the glowing embers of the Tuxedos, the Innocents and the Original Tropics. Although The End only recorded one album "Introspection" (1968-1969) during their brief lunchtime in the spotlight, three further archival albums were later unearthed:- "In the Beginning" (1964-1967); "Retrospection" (1968-1969); & finally "The Last Word" (1969-1970), although that wasn't really the end of The End, as they long outlasted Jim Morrison & The Doors  by reinventing themselves as Tucky Buzzard, proving once again that you can't keep a good band down. 

ESCOMBROS     Chile's fourth most popular band! It's not all accordions and pan pipes in Chile, as chilled-out heavy psych band Escombros ably demonstrate here. 

EUCLID     A Psychedelic Rock band on the Flying Dutchman label, although Euclid are 100% American. It doesn't take a mathematical genius to know that Heavy Equipment adds up to a damn fine album, especially bearing in mind the original vinyl album now sells for upwards of £300, or alternatively, if you've got deep pockets but short arms, you can pick up the CD album from Amazon for a mere snip at £43. And so, with all that said, it's time to settle back and experience some Rock & Roll Heaven as we go Behind the Music.

EUPHORIA     Forget Bonnie Tyler, this is Lost in Trance, featuring down and dirty acid guitar leads, killer sledgehammer bass and crunching drums that will leave you feeling Enchanted. 

THE FACEDANCERS       Facedancers by name, Facedancers by nature..... Not much is known about The Facedancers, other than knowing they're named after the shapeshifting aliens in Frank Herbert's Dune series. One thing that is known about this obscure band though is that their one and only precious relic is well-worth adding to your psych collection, but if you're hoping to pick up this ultra-rare gem for any less than £250, then Dream On. 

FAINE JADE      Faine Jade is not really a band at all, but one Charles Laskowski, who lives at 14, Faine Jade Way, Windham, in upstate New York.
