Camembert Electrique for me too, but then that is the only album I know well out of these. I know I have heard L, but I also remember that I preferred both Fish Rising and Green to it.  I have heard music from Expresso I, but it wasn't very memorable for me and I don't recall liking it much.  By the way, I know I'm jumping ahead, but when it comes to Gong, it's mostly about the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy for me (Flying Teapot, Angel's Egg, You).

I agree, Expresso II is in the distance.

Yup, and TBF, Hillage's L is not even in the same galaxy.

I don't understand how it is running away with this poll.

Expresso II, but I didn't know the Malherbe/Emeric album and really need to listen to that as a fan of Mr Bloomdido. Thanks for digging out a link!

PS: Yeah. I love it.

Blooming marvellous. I'm glad you liked it. All of Didier Malherbe's albums are new to me, so I'm hearing them for the first time here. Smile

I just found a second Gongzilla album which was hiding in plain sight right here on ProgArchives. Thumbs Up

That's Expresso II you must have heard, as there is no first:). Although I'm (usually) fond of both Moerlen brothers playing, I don't enjoy it much either. But I shouldn't be surprised as Holdsworth is in the line-up.

There is a first. The USA pressing was called Expresso. The UK import, Gazeuse! And Holdsworth puts the album over the top with three of his compositions. Great album!
