I'm not sure, but Yes, It Can Happen that I've posted this in the wrong forum, when only half the artists in the poll are listed on ProgArchives. Embarrassed

Funnily enough, Loverboy were the second Arena Rock band I thought of (after Rush) when I was putting this series of polls together. Both bands migrated here from my Canadian Rock polls. Smile

I did not even notice where this was placed as I usually just use the immediately visible on the forum home page quick n' easy Latest Forum Posts section.  I moved it.  It used to be that all were supposed to be in Prog categories in Prog polls (but I got that changed with admin approval before becoming an admin) and then the Proto-Prog/Prog Related forum had its option to make polls taken away for most users, so those often ended up in Prog Polls or General Music Discussions.  The Way I kind of looked at it was, as long as you think the majority are Prog albums or significantly related to Prog/ progressive (kinds of art and experimental music), and plenty of them are in PA (should be at least half in PA), then it's usually okay.

I remember seeing them supporting Maiden in 1988... they were utterly dire

I've fallen out of love with Loverboy too, but who shall I replace them with for the next poll? How about Fleetwood Mac? They're not exactly Arena Rock, but I think we're all agreed that they're much better than Loverboy. In all honesty, I'd rather watch an episode of Lovejoy than listen to another Loverboy album. Tongue

Something of a mix, but My Generation is the closest one to my tastes.

Maiden had some awful support acts around that time... I remember Killer Dwarf were among them... Pinch

Well, one thing's for sure judging from all the replies so far: Loverboy won't be appearing in any future Arena Rock polls, as there's clearly not much love for them here. Tongue

Bryan Adams? Seen him more than anyone else in an Arena, including Wembley Stadium and some big place just outside of Toronto in 1992!

You know, I really am thinking of inviting my sisters to join this forum...
