Having used up all 25 available slots, who do you suggest I should drop from the poll to make room for Eric Dolphy?

Yes, because I was mostly thinking about stylistic widening. |

Personally If I had to get rid of anyone on this list for Dolphy, it would be Byrd . But I didn’t mean for you to change your list. Dolphy being one of my favorite jazzers. And he did an album in 59. Edited by Valdez - June 20 2024 at 15:26 |

According to Discogs and Wikipedia, there were no Eric Dolphy albums released in 1959. Edited by Psychedelic Paul - June 20 2024 at 15:44 |

Outward bound was 1960 . You are right . I think anyone who likes older jazz should hear this album.
https://youtu.be/Hhvu-YOtiCY?si=aCB_QadtNk3lTZZ9 He did an album with Chico Hamilton in 59 but he did not headline it. Edited by Valdez - June 20 2024 at 16:01 |

I'll make a note to include Eric Dolphy in the upcoming 1960 poll.

This is one of those rare occasions when I've managed to pick a winner in a poll.
