Prior to my discovering prog, Richard Tandy was my favorite keyboardist. Still a big fan of his work on On The Third Day. I've heard that he was an incredibly nice person. And he could play bass and guitar as well. RIP Richard.

One of Duane Eddy's most famous songs!
As a guitarist & bassist, I often start "garage band" jam sessions with this song! Everyone knows it, it is easy to play, and it gets the juices flowing!! RIP Jeff and Duane! |

Such a huge loss for rock music, especially in the underground. The dude's output was insanely prolific, and he always looked out for the underdogs in the music industry. His analog-only approach to recording always gave an organic feel to his production and mixing work, in stark contrast to how digitized things have become over time. And some of my favorite artists have worked with him over the years; Joanna Newsom, Helmet, Manic Street Preachers, Don Caballero, Neurosis, the list goes on and on. RIP to an icon

yes, I mentioned his passing, 2 posts above, the day after... but no-one else commented. A great sadness, following on from both Mike & Richard...
