The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Thank you; if you don't mind I'll make just a couple spelling and format adjustments, but otherwise this works and I'll take them to the team.

The New Magic is Psych/Space Rock artist hailing from Oslo, Norway. Spearheaded by the multi-instrumentalist Martin van Houtum, (whom some may recognize from groups such as Den Kosmiske Overorden, Zenon, Wind, and The Abaia Magic) they have released one album to date, 'Bird's Eye View'. A mix of Psychadelic Soundscapes and Norwegian Jazz musicians of old. Influences include Brian Eno, Dungen, Ghosts of Jupiter, Terry Riley, Brian and Dennis Wilson, and many older Norwegian Jazz musicians such as Erlend Apheseth and Christian Meaas Svendsen.
That should be better....

We'll need you to tweak the biography per the guidelines here: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=122381
Everything after the first two sentences should be re-written to reflect influences, style, album releases, etc., but with the more subjective descriptions ("brilliant", for instance) removed and used only for the reviews. The bio doesn't have to be huge, but should give the artist's pertinent information. Edited by Gordy - March 16 2024 at 05:46 |

The New Magic is Psych/Space Rock artist hailing from Oslo, Norway. Spearheaded by the brilliant multi-instrumentalist Martin van Houtum (whom some may recognize from groups such as Den Kosmiske Overorden, Zenon, Wind, and The Abaia Magic). His debut album, 'Bird's Eye View' has been very well received by critics and fans alike. 'The New Magic' seems to be a great mix of lush electronic soundscapes and gentle psychedelia. Side A: 1. The Elevator (2:48) Per Kamfjord - vocals Teodor Elstad - upright bass Filip Zenon Ramberg - drums Morten Smith Lien - tenor and soprano saxophones Martin van Houtum - pianos, organs and synthesizers, electric & acoustic guitars, bass guitar, mandolin, lap steel guitar, ocarina (of time), percussion THE NEW MAGIC · THE ELEVATOR EP (Released November 24, 2023) 1. The Elevator (2:49) 2. The Elevator (Christian Berg edit) (5:45) 3. The Elevator (Runa edit) (3:44) 4. The Elevator (DJ Klaskebass edit) (7:20) Track 1 is performed, produced and mixed by Martin van Houtum. Track 2 is edited and mixed by Per Christian Berg. Track 3 is edited and mixed by Pål Stefan Brekke. Track 4 is edited and mixed by Martin van Houtum. (Note: could very well fit in PE or Prog Folk, but I felt Prog Psych was the best fit)
