This is the eighth poll that I have done covering albums included in the discographies of Prog Archives band/artist listings where I list one release per five year period (one for 1965 to 1969, one for 1975 to 1979 etc.) I also have done various polls with the same concept for releases not included in the Prog Archives database.
Multiple votes allowed, please vote for up to three (or more if such limitations are too restrictive for you). And please vote no more than once per album. Additionally, feel free to vote even if you have very limited knowledge. Comments on the selections are appreciated even if not on the positive side, and feel free to mention your own favourites off any of the albums. I hope some will come up with their own lists and polls. I don't only like to share that which I like, I like to check out what others like.
Soft Machine "Moon in June" (Third, 1970) Picchio dal Pozzo "Seppia" (Picchio dal Pozzo, 1976) Art Zoyd "Génération sans futur" (Génération sans futur, 1980) Univers Zéro "The Funeral Plain" (Heatwave, 1986) Current 93 "Hitler as Kalki (SDM)" (Thunder Perfect Mind, 1992) Tortoise "TNT" (TNT, 1998) Ghost "Dominoes (Celebration for the Gray Days)" (Hypnotic Underworld, 2004) Elephant9 "Doctor Honoris Causa" (Dodovoodoo, 2008) Kayo Dot "The Wait of the World" (Hubardo, 2013) Radiohead - "Daydreaming (A Moon Shaped Pool, 2016) black midi "Ascending Forth" (Cavalcade, 2021) I made a playlist which contains this music -- done mostly for me, but I place it here in case any would like to check out any of this. |

^ That's usually been the case with the first video for you. I would have throught even if the first video was unavailable that others would be. But if the icon on the top right above 1/12 is not appearing, nor the "watch on youtube", I have no idea why. I'll try to change the first video since that has been your issue before.

Can and Art Zoyd are outstanding. For the third place it's between Univers Zero, Tortoise, Radiohead, Soft Machine and Picchio dal Pozzo, and on the mood of the day I'll go for Tortoise.

^ No worries, and thanks all.
While Soft Machine's "Moon in June" in particular has been one of my very favourite classic tracks, I will favour the newer for my votes. And I'll go with ones with no vote. Ghost "Dominoes (Celebration for the Gray Days)" black midi "Ascending Forth" Kayo Dot "The Wait of the World" |
