Judging by the recent posts it looks as if Agusa is making a late bid for the top spot. 'Voter rigging' as suggested by Sean Trane ( and I knocked down as not real) could actually be a thing here? I do wonder if there is an argument for not accepting 'late' lists that do not have at least 20 artist selections?! My reasoning is that it may be convenient to not give points to certain artists. I would at least like to see all the potential points scoring positions filled. That is my personal opinion.

Yes, I designed the polls to be an ongoing thing. In just about 9 hours registration will close for the "official" PA Aoty 2023, and the results will then be posted here in the forum. But the poll will remain open and I'll implement weekly/monthly views which highlight the changes (how releases moved up and down the chart over time).

And I agree and would like to stress that at least for me, this whole endeavor is not at all about which release "wins". Sure, it's interesting to see which releases end up at the top. But then again these are the most popular releases. The real fun for me is to see all the unusual releases which people like and few others even know about.

Thanks, Mike for all your hard work on this. Such a success. And Michael Gira (of Swans) is preparing his acceptance speech just in case. While I would love to see Swans take this, as they almost say, "The Beggar can't be a chooser". That said, I did choose The Beggar as my album of the year.... Really, I'm happy with the list and don't really care who comes out on top. It's great to see so many participants, people sharing what they care about, and I have more albums to discover from the lists. Hopefully people keep refining and adding even after the deadline.

Less than 18 hours to submit your favorite releases of 2023 ... if you haven't already, now is the time. So far 18 collabs and 28 regular forum members have participated - you can do it, too! Even if you only have one favorite release of 2023, your contribution still counts and can make a difference! Smile

Instructions here:
Submit your lists with the tool or "manually", either works fine!

EDIT: Results are available here:

You can also view the results in a more browsable form at AP:
