This is part 6 of a "not included in PA, one track per five year period" poll series. Multiple votes allowed, please vote for up to three (or more if such limitations are too restrictive for you). And please vote no more than once per album. Additionally, feel free to vote even if you have very limited knowledge. Comments on the selections are appreciated even if not on the positive side, and feel free to mention your own favourites off any of the albums, and I hope some will come up with their own lists and polls. I like to check out what others like.
Nico "Frozen Warnings" (The Marble Index, 1968) Leonard Cohen "Avalanche" (Songs of Love and Hate, 1971) Douji Morita "Boku ga kimi no omoide ni natte ageyou" (A Boy, 1977) Echo & the Bunnymen "The Killing Moon" (Ocean Rain, 1984) Renaldo and the Loaf "Hambu Hodo" (1987, The Elbow Is Taboo) Tindersticks "Tyed" (Tindersticks, 1993) Air "La femme d'argent" (Moon Safari, 1998) Flotation Toy Warning "Even Fantastica" (Bluffer's Guide to the Flight Deck, 2004) The Antlers "Kettering" (Hospice, 2009) Beach House "Zebra" (Teen, 2010) Bruno Pernadas - "Spaceway 70" (Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will Be Asked to Retrieve Them, 2016) Perfume Genius "Teeth" (Ugly Season, 2022) Here is a playlist which includes the choices in case anyone would like to check out any of the music. |

Nice playlist! I'll vote for Tindersticks (exceptional debut album this one is off), Air and The Antlers (didn't know this one). Knowing that I very much admire Leonard Cohen's work (have several of his albums in my collection) and I also enjoyed the cinematic music of Esquivel and Douji Morita. Renaldo and the Loaf is fun to hear! I have never payed much attention to the music of Echo & The Bunnymen (not even in those days), though I vaguely remembered this one and it is quite good too. Flotation Toy Warning, Beach House, Bruno Pernadas and Perfume Genius (could be my fourth vote) are also very enjoyable.

I listened to the Ugly Season album by Perfume Genius and that is, IMO, a wonderful album! And because of that I'll give teeth my fourth vote.

For once a poll with nothing of which I'm really a fan (many I don't know). I honor those I like, which are Nico, Leonard Cohen, Tindersticks. None of these tracks would have been anywhere near a vote in some of the earlier polls.

Voted Leonard Cohen who I generally don't like, but this is a great song, Douji Morita and Bruno Pernadas who is the master of lounge-prog it seems.
