Regarding my list below: I only listened to that Deerhoof album once, which was yesterday, and also listened to this Xiu Xiu album for the first time yesterday in full. I have been very very into Xiu Xiu's Plays the Music of Twin Peaks (2016) and this latest was much better than I expected, but would not be for most tastes.

I notice that there is Sufjan Stevens' Reflections of which I have not yet listened and John Zorn's Memoria with Bill Laswell to give a good listen to (listening to the latter now). Just two? I may have missed some.

Two here not on my 2023 list. I might have missed seeing Spellling before (it's easy to make a mistake when you spelll it). It's an album I heard around the time of release. I had appreciated the earlier album, The Turning Wheel (2021) more. Listening to this album again I appreciate it more, and also the vocals which are a bit out of my wheelhouse.

The newest one for me to discover is the Jaime Branch which came up in a topic just yesterday. I just played it the once, and while I like it, I would want to listen to it more to form a stronger opinion. The ranking is quite arbitrary really, and to me it matters more just mentioning ones that interest me. The tool helps me to discover and re-discover albums and to consider them.

I plan to to post my final definitive list of 2023 at some time before 2186. Come to think of it, later would be even better if I have my newest and almost improved, or at least nearly as awesome, body to rock (but my mayhaps mechanical brain's wit will likely be just as dull).
