DELANEY BRAMLETT    (1939-2008)    Some Thing's Coming and it's sounding good. Delaney Bramlett is the husband of Bonnie Bramlett - his Sweet Inspiration in their Delaney & Bonnie musical partnership, as well as being the father of Bekka Bramlett (later of Fleetwood Mac fame). Delaney has had more twists and turns in his long career than a Mobius Strip, putting the funk back into country with his first solo album in 1972, but then with his fourth and final album in 2007, introducing us to A New Kind of Blues, although sounding more like the old kind of blues, shortly before a permanent change of cosmic address at the age of 69. Broken Heart

BREAD     David Gates and Jimmy Griffin are no loafers as they're the singer/songwriting geniuses behind Soft Rock legends Bread, and back in 1969 when they were in a bar together and trying to come up with a name for their new band, a Bread truck just happened to drive by at an opportune moment when - according to David Gates - the band could just as easily have been called Telephone Pole instead. Bread broke up in 1973, but they reunited for one more album in 1977, presumably because they kneaded the dough. Tongue

BRYNDLE     This is what the Eagles might have sounded like with the sweet harmonising of two female leads. Bryndle were a four-piece Country Rock band consisting of Karla Bonoff, Andrew Gold, Wendy Waldman and Kenny Edwards. All four members of Bryndle have a strong Linda Ronstadt connection:-  Karla Bonoff wrote many hit songs for lovely Linda over the years; Andrew Gold was a key part of Linda Ronstadt's backing band; Wendy Waldman was a friend of Linda Ronstadt and toured with her; and Kenny Edwards was a founder member of Linda Ronstadt's first band, The Stone Poneys. All in all then, Bryndle's two superb albums could be considered the two best albums that Linda Ronstadt never recorded. Smile

BUCKINGHAM NICKS     Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks still had Dreams of stardom when they recorded this one and only album together as a duo. Buckingham Nicks is a proto Fleetwood Mac album in all but name though, when the Sky's the Limit for what they would do together as part of Fleetwood Mac where they would quite literally be Everywhere with The Chain of non-stop hit songs. 

I know this may be Second Hand News by now, and maybe you Don't Want to Know, but I've heard Rumours that Fleetwood Mac have got back together again with a new line-up, following the departure of Lindsey Buckingham, when it looks like he's Never Going Back Again, Smile

BUCKINGHAM McVIE     Together at last, a perfect pairing of Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie and just in the nick of time too in what would sadly turn out to be Christine McVie's final album. Buckingham McVie is a Fleetwood Mac album in all but name with John McVie on bass and Mick Fleetwood on drums with Stevie Nicks being the only member of the fabulous five not to appear, having gone her own way as a solo artist. Songbird Christine McVie was rumoured to be recording a solo album back in 2013 but the album never saw the light of day, making Buckingham McVie a very special album to treasure as Christine's last recorded work. BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD      A fabulous fivesome of three Canadians and two Americans whose band name was inspired by a steamroller parked outside their house. Buffalo Springfield first came about in a chance meeting when Stephen Stills spotted Neil Young driving down Sunset Boulevard, L.A. in his hearse - as you do! The band were destined not to last though as it could never contain the collective talents of Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Richie Furay, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin, when Stills and Young especially were Expecting to Fly soon both as solo artists and as part of the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young supergroup. For What It's Worth, Buffalo Springfield has a prog connection too with their epic song "Broken Arrow" having more time signature and tempo changes than your average prog classic and the Stephen Stills song "Everydays"  becoming an early Yessong. Smile
