Fans cannot affect a song in any way, unless you let them (by caring too much about what they say).

I thought this might be about fans ruining songs at concerts. There are plenty of examples.

But just ruining the song???  That's a very subjective thing.

I was wondering that too. Freebird is a great song and it sounds even better performed live in front of Lynyrd Skynyrd's adoring fans. Clap

Do you mean something like 'great songs ruined by being overplayed?' in which case I would like to nominate 'Hotel California'
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time...

I never get tired of hearing Hotel California. Thumbs Up

It's my favourite song to play along to (very badly) on my electric guitar. Tongue

^You and me have similar tastes, I constantly cite it as my favorite song of all time, and I too love playing along with it (also very badly) on mine. It only gets 'ruined' by people hearing it too much, but it's a perfect song

there is a version out there (can't find it), where it is the crowd that is singing it (alonen no singer on stage) and it sends shivers thru the spine, because it's sooo good & emotional
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I'm not sure if it's a great song (or great artist), but I absolutely detest 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond.

Played at lots of sports events. Dreadful. Unhappy

Hi,

The most obvious one is the fans going for the pieces of the pig at Anaheim Stadium!

So disgusting and sick ... pathetic and ridiculous!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I believe it is 'Pigs (Three Different Ones) from Pink Floyd's 'Animals'
