A few rude concertgoers for YES at Saenger Theater in Mobile, AL on Friday October 13.  I drove 11 hours to attend this concert (and also art presentation by Roger Dean) and I've never experienced anything like this before in what was my 31st YES concert, which was otherwise enjoyable as always.

I was quite keen whilst attending Roger Dean's speech which should have been interesting to any YES enthusiast, or anyone who enjoys art.  Well....half way through his speech, some very few members of the audience from different sections started heckling Roger loudly saying, in essence, that they came for the music and not an art presentation. Whoa, what? It was clearly advertised that he would give a presentation before the band took the stage.  You can't sit through what should be an interesting presentation for a measly 30 minutes without your alcohol-inspired rudeness spewing out of your pie-hole?  What in the Hades is wrong with some people?

That's really disappointing. You would think of all people that most YES fans would be appreciative of Roger Dean's incredible art.

This is the root of the problem, I assure you.  Those beer-swilling rednecks would have been perfectly happy if all they got that night was Yes playing "Roundabout" non-stop for 90 minutes.

Hi,

I would say that those folks are not "fans" ... they are ash-holys of some kind and if my name was the band ... I would cancel the concert right there! That is just bad, and inappropriate specially when considering how many covers of albums by the band are so well known ... but it tells you that the downloading generation has never seen a cover and they could not careless ...

I would have cancelled the show immediately. And give the money to charity instead and refunds, because of a few jerks who needed to be pointed out and removed azap!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
