^As much as I think the cassics are great I have trouble listening to things like The Yes abum, Fragile, Red, Larks tongues, Foxtrot and Nusery Cryme these days because I've heard them so many times.

Jethro Tull - A Passion Play

(their best album, those last 5 minutes are perfection)

yep

The plan was to listen to it with a friend at the same time to expereince it together, but they bailed and said we shouldn't do that anymore. and this was a long list of records from both our tastes, and since we had a long list of albums we wanted to listen to, i've been going through them.

Some classics that were on the list that i've never heard

Aquiring the Taste
Crime of the Century
Future Days
Misplaced Childhood
Moonmadness
Nursery Cryme
a Trick of the Tail
Free Hand

and the albums i've listened to last night (and today) as a result of this

H to He, who am the only one
U.K.
The Snow Goose
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Cover art for Salighet by Jordsjų

Jordsjo - Salighet

Maybe he/she is too young to have gotten around to all of the classics yet.

I like the way you are doing it. Most younger people are probably starting with Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree or prog metal. It's best to start with Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, Rush, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant then move on to Moody Blues, Kansas, Marillion, Porcupine Tree, Camel, Van der Graaf Generator, Dream Theater then to Eloy, PFM, Focus, Gong, Renaissance, Nektar, Strawbs, Flower Kings, Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Anglagard, IQ, etc. Ok, that shoud keep you busy for a while. Wink

I'm definetly on the younger side haha. I just discovered a love of longer songs, started with Telegraph Road, didn't look back. Found Dark Side of the Moon after hearing Money played on the radio, and one thing led to another, and here I am. Also I found a friend who also thought this music was pretty cool.
