^ Let's not get ahead of ourselves ... it's still only Ukrainians who are dying. I find it sad, but all the Western leaders don't seem to have a problem with it, or at least they prefer it to finding a diplomatic solution. I find it a to be horrible crime (against humanity), but apparently I'm part of a minority. We'll see what happens when all Ukrainians are dead and the entire Ukraine lies in ruins. I don't think that NATO will then escalate any further. There's other countries to turn the attention to.

So the Westerners have been given the chance to learn about the invasion from two people who are living through its aftermath every day on a personal level and who both have a long history in dealing with the Russian government, yet the Westerners need not listen because they have youtube videos.

Ukraine in 2022: wins the battle of Kyiv, liberates Kharkiv oblast, snatches back Kherson

Ukraine in 2023: makes the russian fleet (or rather what's left of it) run for their lives, liberates more than 300 kms2 during fAiLeD summer counteroffensive, constantly attacks with drones several russian oblasts

^^ Thanks for reviving the "stay in your lane" argument. Well, by the same reasoning I can now stop worrying about Ukraine altogether, since it doesn't concern me. None of my business - thinking about it could well be seen as "intellectual appropriation".

Hi,

Germany is suffering from the same malady that is covering the USA. The greater need for greed and the rich getting richer and everyone else ... who cares! They are abusing their greed, just like it is happening in the USA. It won't stop with our tongues wagging either! But, in this country where you can vote, there are too many that don't care, and allow "religious dictators" to get elected. In a country that SUPPOSEDLY created a church/state separation on purpose because they saw a lot of these issues all over the world ... we still don't give a damn!

I agree.

Again, you ignore Russia's goals. Russia is fighting the War to win in the future.

1. Liberate the four Ukraine Oblasts that voted to join Russia. ( I know you think the election was rigged. That won't matter, because Russia won't stop till they liberate the four Oblasts.

2. Make sure Ukraine never joins NATO.

Anyone can point to a moment in time to argue a point.    Since 2021, Russia has taken a bunch of Ukraine's territory.  Yesterday, Russia took more territory than Ukraine.  What matters, is how the War ends and if Russia accomplishes its goals or Ukraine accomplishes its goals.   Do you disagree or agree with the previous statement?  If you disagree, explain your argument.

No, I'm looking for all kinds of sources. I am biased against bigotry and aggressive trolling though, so I may miss out on some sources which you probably consider essential. So unfortunately, if you want me to listen, give me a source that at least tries to be objective.

On my points from pages 6 and 7 - I've copied them for Mike here since he's been avoiding addressing those for three days now, claiming they're "buried under layers of trolling" or smth like that. I don't expect him to respond but it's good to have them all in one post (sorry for the long one!)

lol literally nobody was ruling Ukraine at that time - everybody was quite surprised to see Yanukovitch flee and Ukraine was actually presidentless until May 2014. But hey, by saying "was installed" it's obvious you're not taking us seriously as an INDEPENDENT country

well wasn't "denazification" one of the main "righteous" excuses for russia to invade? and suddenly it's not that important?

This is literally what russia is doing. Because they never cared for people of Donbass, they simply used them to invade Ukraine. As someone who was born on Donbass and spent 2/3 of my life living there - yes, people mostly speak russian there (because colonialism), but it doesn't mean they ever wanted to live in russia. There's a great book written by two Donbass residents on how russia metodically brainwashed and bribed Donbass authorities to undermine Kyiv's influence. I highly doubt you'll read it (since you'd made up your mind on the russian invasion and see the things the way you wanna see them), but it's a fascinating read nevertheless

Also I like this thought and I wanted to repeat it for everyone obsessed with "nazis" in any modern conflict

They make you think of the stuff happening 80 years ago, while actual real living russians rape Ukrainian women and children, kill Ukrainian soldiers and drop bombs on Ukrainian cities - RIGHT.NOW.

Whataboutism.

Who said it wasn't? If there are ultra-nationalists in Ukraine that hate Russia so much that they engage in terrorist actions, that would seem plausible as an important goal.

As interesting as these reports from people who live in Donbas may be, they are hard to verify. In general, most of the information you or me have presented here is almost impossible to verify. I'll conclude by saying that taking everying into account, of the two opposing narrative, both of which are built by propaganda to some extent, the one where Putin=Hitler strikes me of having significantly more inconsistencies as the other.

Hi

"FACTS" are the usual lying truth ... created by many folks in "control" or in power, so they can maintain their position. Richard Burton used to call theater, the lying truth ... and here we are doing the same thing!

I would be very wary of using the word "FACTS" around politics, when, for hundreds of years it's been nothing but lies and the changing of the guard for more lies. I guess you could say that fugliest side of it was in France with heads rolling!

"I like it when "religion" is talking "facts" about a book ... when it is the worst translation of the original texts, which remain hidden so no one else can look at them and realize the changes that were made to create "facts" about the story of one man ... and how many people believe in that cardboard version ... that's a "FACT" ... an invented reality ... and we still don't get it.

Plz stop doing the same thing that the media does ... use terms improperly and without the correct definition of the term. There are no "facts" in a political discussion! It's all about how much more on the clever side (and faster) you are ... has nothing to do with "facts".

Yes, both of those first examples are stronger facts, or what are called "true facts".   And I like the bathroom etiquette references.
