Stones' Their Satanic Majesties Request. I'm calibrating my nose to be more like a brick building with a loading dock made out of cherry frosting and fixed-cistern barometers.

Velvet Underground

Kind of amazed Paul gives it 4 stars given its sharp edges.

I have that album buried somewhere in my CD collection. Admittedly, I did hover for a moment over the 3-star rating before deciding to give it four stars. Smile

Anyway, here's my Top 3:-

1. The Zodiac
2. Vanilla Fudge
3. The Serpent Power

The Velvet Underground & Nico ,   even I don't find it particularly Psychedelic

also fond of   Their Satanic Majesties Request
quality over quantity, and all kind of PopcoRn almost beyond

Me neither, but they were an absolute must for inclusion here, especially bearing in mind they're currently leading the poll. It took me awhile to appreciate the quirky music of The Velvet Underground, but I'm Beginning to See the Light. Anyway, roll on Sunday Morning, when I'll have the next Psychedelic Years poll coming up, all being well. Meanwhile, I'm Waiting for the Man to come 'round with the mail.  Smile

As there's about 7 or 8 albums I haven't heard in full here, I dont feel qualified to vote. Big fan of the satanic Stones and VU. Why on earth are you including a greatest hits collection?

The Yardbirds Greatest Hits was the final album I added to make the poll number add up to 25 poll entries, so it's really just poll-filler (or Polyfilla!?) material, meaning there are precisely one hundred albums in the four psychedelic polls for 1967 alone. I like round numbers. Smile
