Trevor Rabin had a much better voice than Steve Howe. When I
saw the Anderson/Rabin/Wakeman version of Yes about 4 or 5 years ago, it occurred
to me that the old songs’ harmonies sounded sweeter, a little less strident,
with Rabin participating. |

One's a bass player, one's a guitarist. Sherwood is a good bass player but Yes music with Rabin is better than the recent stuff with Sherwood so I'll go Rabin.

Trevor Rabin, pretty much inline with the comments already posted.

And by a spooky coincidence, they both had debut albums with the same title. ![]() Anyway, it's an easy win for Trevor Rabin in this Face to Face poll.

Poor Billy is getting clobbered. Too bad too since he seems to be a pretty nice guy based on the one time I met him. Anyway, I'll probably vote for Trevor regardless.

I guess Rabin. They told me to peel the apples, but instead I messed with the parental controls on the toilet.

I'm a bit split between voting Rabin or Neither. I do like the Talk album but could easily live without anything Yes involving Rabin.
Looking at Sherwood's wiki page he has a ton of credits. The only one that sticks out as memorable is the album he did with William Shatner. That sums it up maybe (?).

Trevor Rabin. Billy Sherwood is good, but not excellent. Trevor Rabin is great, and made a mark on Yes music, whereas Sherwood only tries to fill up for Chris Squire, and impossible task for him.

Rabin, no contest. Billy can play guitar, but Rabin's an excellent guitarist, composer, arranger, and vocalist.

Steve Howe's debut album was called Beginnings and Trevor Rabin's was self titled. Am I missing something here?

Time and time again, I am disappointed by things Billy Sherwood touches (produces) or plays on in any way. I think he's a prog rock curse.

^ Last night I was watching one of those numerous Sea Of Tranquillty y/t videos that rank prog albums (this one was 'worst' or most hated) and he was getting some real stick on that. 'Box ticker' seemed to be the consensus.

Trevor Rabin. He seems to me to be more technically complete and has a musical personality that conveys what he wants to say more emphatically.
