I won't list any CD's, because the experience as multiart is not as good as LP's. And I haven't purchased an LP since the early 80's, so these are all releases by progasaurs.

Hi,
Amon Duul 2 - Dance of the Lemmings ... both inside out pictures, with the inside one a treat! Amon Duul 2 - Wolf City ... wonderful cover and the inside montage just about expresses what the band is about, but you have to be clever with the images! Nektar - Either "A Tab In The Ocean" or "Remember the Future" I won't even go into the Harvest Album covers ... but the meat cover for The Edgar Broughton Band, kinda takes these to school, even if you know that this is a sort of take on The Beatles that had tried to use that cover and were turned down, and I'm not sure which album, but I bet it was for the "White Album" and the reason why it didn't have a "cover" ... and in that album, their material was definitely more on the raw side of things in terms of individuality, and they helped each other fairly well, but you can easily tell who owned what!

Par Lindh Project - Gothic Impressions (some great artwork but never released on vinyl, still looks good though)  Big Big Train - always impressed me how much care they took with their cover artwork. Love them all!  Vinyl First 5 ELP albums but I only own Pictures and Brain Salad on vinyl so far. King Crimson - Debut is hard to beat Anathema - Weather Systems Muse - Will Of The People ( I like this album for the music and vinyl cover art which I am happy to own) I'm sure there are plenty others but that will do for now |

I'm also impressed by the Spanish Canarios' Cycles (1974), a double concept album based on Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, even I haven't yet digged more into its lyrics.

Another favourite of mine is Caravan - In the Land of Grey and Pink I would like the cover art to be less pink, but the lyrics are great for not to talk about the music.

Now someones may get suprised, but I think I'll count Script for a Jester's Tear in as one of my favourite albums when considering it as multiart. Not that I find the music to be great, neither the lyrics or cover art, but considering the entirety, I'd say it's pretty good - even more on the Poppish/lightweight side when comparing with the classics. Strange question - I always look at albums as a complete package where the music is most important, but the lyrics and cover art also factor in.
