Hey Grumpy... ain't disagreeing with any of your picks - just commenting cause that's what I do GG - Not their most consistent but I find myself enjoying this one more than the others atm. Genesis - I'm a PG era guy all the way but that LP made me appreciate Phil much more! Gong - The trilogy can get really whacky sometimes but this one strikes a good balance between both ends of the gnome planet. Gilgamesh - Forgot about this band! Both LPs are great and unique but the debut wins it for me! GG - hmmm... never heard of him (them?) or the album. GK - same as above. GMST - Yes!!! One off supergroup of talent! Was a bit underwhelmed at the time it came out; was expecting more firepower but it's fine for what it is. RIP Gowen, Miller, and Tomkins PG - Off the poppy side but nothing wrong with that. This one has a few bangers I like! Cheers! |

Using these threads mainly to check who I've got most from (in the beginning of the series that made sense ), the letter G is won by Gong by some distance, at least if Pierre Moerlen's Gong is included. My album nomination is Shamal. Genesis (Live) next and then GYBE and Grobschnitt.

Philip Glass - Koyaanisqatsi - Pruit Igoe (the movie version) Although Koyaanisqatsi is my favourite album of the Qatsi trilogy, and Pruit Igoe is my favourite piece of music from Koyaanisqatsi, Pruit Igoe is not my favourite piece of music from the Qatsi trilogy. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

The already named ones Solar Music Live and F#... are good candidates, but I like the German language Jumbo and Lift Your Fists... at least as much. At some point in my youth Solar Music Live was my favourite album. Maybe I have overplayed it so that I'm not quite so keen on it anymore.

The somewhat Colosseum 1 extension delivers with a bang! It goes between that one and the debut for me.
