I have seen all ecept those on Dinsey +

I Will not say whos my favourite at first to not sway the voters. But I love rally good developed animated show, that can be viewd both as an adult but also as a 10 year old. These are wonderfull shows, there are probbly others i have forfoten but they have to fall into the category of fantastical, wimsy and slightly oboxious, but also can be dark themed.

Owl House is the only one I've watched and enjoyed.

My son really liked Avatar The Last Airbender so I watched some of that with him. Looks good. I have not watched a lot of fantasy animated series, and what I have tends to be anime (from Japan). It’s not new, but my favourite of the fantasy ilk is Death Note.

i could listed probably Five more series, ore picked an other-category, i was about to.

I often prefair good animated too favourable entertainmentagainst like action. I dont know what it is, might be the combination of four favoirites, colour, drawing, adventure, the laughs, and scope

Incidentally, Death Note, which is more adult or maybe young adult specific (my eldest watched it at 14, I think) and has dark themes came out in 2006, and Avatar: The Last Airbender series which was my youngster's favourite animated series came out in 2005, so quite contemporaneous. I have not watched lot of that, but I liked what I saw, and have not seen the others in the list. Some others I checked out in the anime department of the fantasy ilk are Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, Demon Hunter, and one of my favourite series period, animated or not, The Promised Neverland (could well be scary for children). A more sci-fi fave of mine is Psych0_Pass (not really suitable for children even though one of my children watched it with me and recently cos-played a character from that at a convention). I wish that child was not so attracted to such dark themed things -- inherited my dark and brooding side.

I love a lot of animated film and live action, but I am way more into, say, Studio Ghibli than Disney. If you do a movie poll, then Spirited Away is a gorgeous fantasy one for all ages that I would imagine you have seen (maybe you already covered that in an earlier poll and I might have responded, mind like a sieve these days). Of my favourite animated films that my eldest introduced me to is A Silent Voice which moved me so very, very much, profoundly (it's about bullying in part, and alienation). I grew up loving the Space Battleship Yamato series and then saw Grave of the Fireflies as a teenager and was so moved by it. I want series and films commonly that really moves me and where I can identify with a character or characters and with the situations. Like with music, i often appreciate the more "atmospheric" series and shows. And I like a sense of mystery commonly.

I would love to discover more youth and adult appropriate animation that is magical, whimsical and poignant to me. I think animation works better for a lot of film and one can be so very imaginative with it. Part of why I favour the Japanese ones is because I had such a special time working in Japan, I tend to favour non-English language things with subtitles (I'm very into Scandinavian things these days), although I guess I could watch a Disney one in Norwegian with English subs.

I'm not big on action films generally, I like the more character-centric and quieter, more sensitive and subtle films commonly (a lot I like is branded so-called art house), but most of what I watch is live-action rather than animated. But I will generally go to whatever looks thematically interesting to me on Netlix and other streaming services these days (Dark was one of my favourites).

I'll give a 'proxy' vote to Arcane which my youngest nephew thinks is wonderful (he generally has very good taste in both music and TV). I couldn't get through the first episode but then I was on the verge of getting rid of Netflix so wasn't going to put the effort in to understand it! He also likes Rick and Morty which I started watching after his recommendation and enjoyed (not new though). I did also love Final Space but again not new.
