Siouxsie & the Banshees - Juju for me. Great year really. But I don't expect to see many of my reasons as to why I consider it a great year in the second poll either.

None of these I find essential in any way, maybe Motorhead, but that's a live album. Confused
No vote.

I can promise Part 2 of this 1981 poll will be much better. After all, it couldn't be much worse. Tongue

None... can't even bring myself to vote for Motorhead, because even at 15, I was never a fan... Confused
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

No vote.

I'm not surprised. The only album worth voting here from my point of view is OMD, but I can promise a better line-up in Part 2 with both Rush and ABBA and The Human League on the way. Thumbs Up

Couldn't agree more. The first two albums in the poll are two of the worst albums I've ever heard, and Lemmy  sounds like he ate gravel for breakfast on No Sleep Till Hammersmith. Thumbs Down

That would be a choice between

Brian Eno & David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
and
Siouxsie & the Banshees - Juju

quality over quantity, and all kind of PopcoRn almost beyond

I don't know any of these. I was too busy going to Wawa to buy packs of baseball cards that year and trying to find new ways to clean my nose out without using my finger. Sorry, no vote this time. Beep Beep!

Motorhead - it's a great live album, all the tracks amped up.

Only other ones on this list would be OMD & Siouxsie for me.

That was not to tease you, Sir Paul, but to give the authors of 1001 Albums the credit they deserve afterall - when looking at it inter-subjectively. Tongue

I've put that godawful punk band on my black flag list, never to be listened to again, alongside Einsturzende Neubauten, who sound equally awful to my ears, even if I listen to them inter-subjectively. Wink

Gosh! I know it must be a poor poll when you can't find anything worth voting for. Tongue
