Your tags remind me of this...

Who says that only one of them is dynamic? You remind me of the guy in the meme, assuming that when someone assigns tags, they are turning this into a science and assigning every little detail meticulously.

In fact, one time I was probably listening to one album and thought the "dynamic" tag fits, the other day I was listening to another and felt differently.

Chill!

^ But in the case of the two albums you mentioned, I actually do think that Mariner is more dynamic than Vertikal - the latter is more uniform in loudness while Mariner, perhaps due to Julie's influence (think Battle of Mice), has more (dramatic) outbursts and silent passages.

^ I understand that was the intent, but in fact all it shows is that you misunderstand what I'm doing, which is the opposite of extreme pigeon-holing.

No, I understand what you're trying to do, I just think it's a bit over the top.

^ sure, different strokes. If more than two adjectives to describe a release freak you out, by all means steer clear. But then never go to RYM Smile

^ Good. For the record, at TYM I'm trying to make these genre badges as concise as possible. For the signature image we're actually only picking two adjectives (styles/genre modifiers) at most, but combined with the prog/non-prog label and up to two genres, it can sometimes get a little too lengthy.

Ponty, a true fusion head and that's no bad thing.

Zappa, Mahavishnu, RTF - I wonder what prompted him to be so elusive??
