I was born just as prog was getting started (1969), and my dad (primarily a jazz head) had some early interest in progressive rock that rubbed off on me.

Last fall, he approached me with a blog idea - where the focus would be on both of us reflecting on a selection of key albums that mean a lot to one or both of us. We’re going chronologically (starting with Days of Future Passed, 1967) and have posted over 60 albums/commentaries so far.

We think this blog provides a welcome twist on the album review idea, by highlighting 2 different generations’ takes on albums we all know and love, with a personal touch that reveals some fun stories along the way.

Hope you check it out and bookmark it.

Great idea! Looks like a lot of interesting reading ahead.

Thanks for doing this as a blog instead of a video blog (as is common these days). I never seem to be able to concentrate on them.
