Thrak, The Sky Moves Sideways, The Light, Generation 13, As The World, Children and Back In The World of Adventures are all very good albums. Unfortunately, Iluvatar's Children is long out of print. Anyway, I haven't heard a lot of these so no vote.

I knew that any album I'd rated with one star was guaranteed to pick up at least a couple of votes.

Tough choice indeed. Afraid of Sunlight is my favourite H-era Marillion album, but by a hair's breadth my vote went to Saga - Generation 13; a brilliant departure from their usual fare, creating a concept album to rival, to my ears, The Lamb..., Snow, Subterranea.

That's true. It's often the case that I'm the only one who votes for albums I've rated five-star favourites. Iluvatar would've been my hot favourite to win this poll, so no surprise that it hasn't picked up any votes at all so far.

Maybe each year deserves its own forum. Really, I do wish there was a way with the forums to have subforums so that all, say, 1995 specific music polls could be found and compared in one place. It can seem very repetitive even if each is rather different.
I'm going with Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante (sorry to be rude, but I always read that as Mr. Bunghole). I disliked that album when I first heard it about 20 years ago, but I listened to it again fairly recently and really appreciated it. That said, big Swans guy that I am, I would have voted for Swans' The Great Annihilator were it listed. I also like, in PA, Pram's Sargasso Sea and Björk's Post very much. |

Lots of good ones. I should vote for Tull or Vangelis, but I played Arena's debut a ton when I got it, so I went with them.
