1986: The Human League - Crash - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_las6rCrhMgTXNd_C-91VV_1TJsPRLqgZc
To promote the Crash album, the entire band were flown over to Paris at great expense to meet top Vogue fashion photographer Guy Bourdin. Ooh La La, beware of kinky Frenchmen with cameras, as it soon became apparent Bourdin was only interested in photographing the two girls and only if they did handstands in mini-skirts. The end result: just one photograph after nine hours work and a huge amount of money spent. Edited by Psychedelic Paul - June 13 2023 at 15:05 |

The Human League, interviewed in 1986, where they talk about the joys and delights of living in Sheffield, amongst other things. You can take the girls out of Sheffield, but you can't take the Sheffield out of the girls.

I rather like this album from 1986, particularly the title track.

God if there is someone I can't stand its definitely Iggy Pop.
I'll give a vote for Big Country although The Crossing was their classic album.

What Price Paradise? About £32 a month with Talk Talk, my Internet service provider, which is not my Best Kept Secret. Edited by Psychedelic Paul - July 16 2023 at 08:17 |

It's no miracle that I love the Eurythmics. I also love all of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart's solo works too, as well as their previous incarnation as The Tourists, and not to mention Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin too. |

1986: Ultravox - U-Vox - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyIhNZsfiY8RR7A-a46ty2ToCHcD-5CZ0
How many times has a band reached their artistic and commercial peak on their third or fourth album, only to be followed by the inevitable decline in album sales and the age-old band problem of artistic differences? It't the Same Old Story with Ultravox too. |
