I love the version of "One of the Living" that plays over the opening titles. RIP, Tina. Cry

I think on a prog site, musicians like Tina Turnee are not thought about as highly or we forgett ofteh those whom paved the way in terms of artisyery and showladyship. But icon and legend is to often thrown around, Tina is above that, she is just that power of natur. Watching live shows with Tina, she had such vocal controll but also energy output, charisma and unique way of show empowerment. Many musicians today are empowered by the power that was Tina. May she always be remembered as the queen of rock.

Rest in Power, Tina Turner! Your music shook the world!

Celebrate this rock queen’s own links to prog!

Ollie Marland, her long time Musical Director, had been in Jah Wobble’s Invaders of the Heart Band. Because of the connection, you can hear Markand on Holger Czukay’s Rome Remains Rome and on the Wobble/The Edge/Czukay EP Snake Charmer.

Also, PP Arnold was an Ikette in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. When she left to go solo, her backing band later made prog history as The Nice.
