First two Nik Kershaw albums didn't appear as far as I remember? This is the third one, and it's still good, but has to leave the top spot to the Talk Talk masterpiece.

I'll go with Siouxsie & the Banshees's Tinderbox over Talk Talk's Colour of Spring. Talk talk has three votes already and I think that Tinderbox is a very fine album.

XTC. Todd Rundgren's production is sublime.

I've put the "puddings" in the microwave and reheated them and there's another three years of "New Wave" albums still to come. Wink

Might be enjoyable if you cover some of those artists who have released albums more contemporaneously with an Old Wave poll: "Old Wave: Modern albums from old New Wave stalwarts"

Scoudrel Days over The Color of Spring for me, actually. Standing on a Beach doesn't count and should be removed, as it's a collection of singles. Wonderful, but not an album as such. Not any more than Depeche Mode - The Singles 81→85 is.

Thanks! I've removed The Cure and replaced them with Howard Jones. Thumbs Up

Sorry. I simply ran out of room to include Nik Kershaw's first two albums in the previous New Wave polls. Wouldn't It Be Good if I could include everyone. Embarrassed

The Fixx
----------
i'm shopping for a new oil-cured sinus bag
that's a happy bag of lettuce
this car smells like cartilage
nothing beats a good video about fractions

Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Skylarking -- probably XTC's best album.
