My 2nd listen to this one.  I'm hoping it grows on me.  Being a long-time Metallica fan, I really want to like this one.

Yes.  Gregg Rolie, the keyboardist, was also their original vocalist before Steve Perry.  Steve Smith, was the drummer on their debut album, and I believe he played with the band again in recent years.

There is no denying, this isn't a particularly strong album, marking an unfortunate detour for the band, but I have to confess, I'd rather listen to it than some of the more standard Dire Straits/ Chris Rea influenced stuff they released during the 80's/ early 90's....
