PETER GEE    The bass player with Pendragon and the son of a Church of England vicar, so if you're looking for prog with a religious flavour, then you've come to the right place. Peter Gee's discography doesn't quite reach biblical proportions, but his devotional music certainly does. You don't have to take my word for it though - just take a look at the ecclesiastical album titles below. Hallelujah! Smile

GLACIER    You won't find many glaciers in England's temperate climes, but this is one Neo Prog band who will warm the cockles of your heart with their one and only monumental album. 
Glacier recorded two later albums, but they appear to have melted away - probably as a result of global warming. Geek

GREY LADY DOWN    Up periscope! Grey Lady Down are from the city of the dreaming spires with a band-name inspired by a submarine disaster movie starring Charlton Heston. There's no chance of this superb band disappearing below the waves any time soon though as they blow many other Neo Prog bands out of the water. Among their many accolades, Grey Lady Down have been voted the fourth-best band from Oxford. Tongue

IAN GORDON    And then there were three... For a long long time, Ian Gordon's eleven albums were about as rare on YouTube as seeing a mad mullah officiating at a bar mitzvah, and then three arrived all at once, just like buses. Ian Gordon was previously in a band called Drama (not a YES tribute band) of which little is known as there's no sign of the band on YouTube either. Anyway, putting that minor detail aside, Ian Gordon's three currently available albums represent the heavier end of the Neo Prog spectrum (I'm thinking Anathema & Porcupine Tree), so they should appeal to the Metalheads amongst us. The Horror Show album is especially good value for money too, as the first three tracks on the album are all over 20 minutes long and there are ten tracks on the album in total. Beware though, the subject matter is darkly atmospheric with a menacing sense of foreboding. Oh, the horror of it all! Dead

GRACE    An indefatigable band from Stoke on Trent who are quite possibly the first ever Neo Prog band with their first self-titled album released way back in 1981 (although listed as a 1979 album here on Prog Archives). Grace are a band that's never been graced with the success they so richly deserve during their forty year career, but at least they deserve a medal for trying. They're now into their third incarnation with the release of their latest album in 2019, proving once again that you can't keep a good band down. Smile

HAZE    Another indefatigable Neo Prog band who never give up. Following the release of three unsuccessful albums in the eighties the band went turtle up and decided to call it quits. Not to be discouraged though, they reappeared briefly as Mother Turtle in the nineties. Just to remind us all that they're still around, Haze reverted back to their original name in the 21st century, as well as releasing a Live anniversary album every ten years. Unfortunately, there's no sign of Haze's debut album on YouTube. Oh well, C'est La Vie. Wink

HIGH SPY    A Neo Prog outfit who appear to be very adept at espionage, as very little is known about this secretive Midlands band outside of ProgArchives hallowed halls. One thing I do know, is that High Spy hill in England's Lake District offers splendid views over the valley of Borrowdale, provided you've remembered to bring your climbing gear. Smile
