There's an extended bio on the Italian site ondarock.it I can take some info from that. Just the essentials as I don't want to infringe any copyright

^ Wow.   After suggesting them in 2007, it will be seventeen years in the making.

As this is in all likelihood the last chance Rachel's have at inclusion, it would be better for their chances if you listed specific listening links for Keishiro and team to follow. All their recorded work can be found streaming between Spotify, Bandcamp and YouTube.

Right now the band are in limbo with one vote (Unsure for Keishiro).
Haven't I already done exactly that in my opening post? However my links to places outside of PA doesn't work for me when I try to use them. It always tells me something went wrong. If they do work for others, I've included links to Rachel's official site, their Bandcamp-account + their The Sea and the Bells & Selenography-albums spesifically (just press those words, I thought they all appeared as links). As you can see I've also already added three youtube-vids here with representative songs. I've sort of given up by now. What else - or what more is there any point of doing?

^ So, would you please let me know which album you recommend? I've listened only to "Selenography" (and enjoyed much) so far.

And I would like to wait for Luca's opinion.

I know you guys are not to blame, but that sucks. Back in the days it could be quite random what albums you managed to get a hold of/listen to for evaluation as well.

In my opinion Rachel's were an essential Post Rock band, and without them a part of the formative story is lacking. Parts of Handwriting, The Sea and the Bells (ranked 16th on Fact Magazine's "The 30 best post-rock albums of all time") is basically the birth and building blocks of what was to become the sound associated with Post Rock. Selenography is perhaps the icing on the cake. You'll hardly find a place online that doesn't use the term Post Rock about Rachel's.

-Anyway, I'm glad I didn't start writing their bio. It's extra timeconsuming as english is not my native language.

^while I'm sorry to hear Keishiro's opinion means they probably wouldn't stand another shot at inclusion, they are eligible, as they posthumously released a single track via Bandcamp in 2013, two years after their rejection: https://rachels.bandcamp.com/track/a-warm-body-2

I understand why they have been rejected previously.
"Selenography" is a wonderful creation, my love. But I don't feel enough of progressive rock but neo-classical ambience via this opus. A great album nonetheless.
At any rate, the eval result by the older members cannot be reversed without any new release after that. Sorry.

^Interesting, I was certain the votes from the old chart disappeared but I'm glad to be proved wrong.

I still think they deserve a second shot with fresh (progressive) ears.

It's the risk we take for love. Even I've had some of my suggestions rejected, and two of which were refused before they even reached the evaluation stage.

But I think Rachel's stand a strong chance for inclusion. And the best part is they have a fresh chance for evaluation: I distinctly recall they'd been suggested many years ago and were rejected by an old version of the team, but the record of that vote was erased when Progfreak was renovated recently.

Considering the team hasn't looked at this thread yet, I strongly encourage you to prepare a bio and I'll forward it directly to Keishiro and crew.

There are more bands that are accepted than rejected, so it's not backwards.
Just compile some info on the band, where are they from, what do they sound like, similar artists. It does not even have to be long.

edit: your opening post is helpful, it's all fine. Smile
