^^ are any of these later Heep albums any good? I kind of gave up on them about 40 years ago...

Different World is nothing special, but it's quite listenable. I hadn't listened to it in a very long time. 
Sea of Light is really good IMO. 

All their albums since 2008 are good, a back to the roots sound (just like Deep Purple), very enjoyable to me.
