^ Thanks Mayer, done. Also added track timings and additional bonus track from here.

But after some research, I suspect this release does not exist. I think it was some "pre-order" tracklist for this release.

Maybe I'm wrong? It's pretty confusing actually.

^ Antony Kalugin's discography is extremely confusing lol!

The album that Mayer added, called "Birds: Passage to the Forest of Mysterious (24-48 Ltd 2CD)" edition did exist on Bandcamp as a pre-order digital release around the turn of the year. This was the summary page of his releases on Bandcamp as captured on 21st December 2022: https://web.archive.org/web/20221221055658/https://antonykalugin.bandcamp.com/music, and that album was the latest release.

The pre-order version of the album was removed from Bandcamp however when the final version, "Passage to the Forest of Mysterious" & "Birds" (Hi-Res 24-48) was released just yesterday.

The Birds: Passage to the Forest of Mysterious (24-48 Ltd 2CD edition) IS still available as a LTD edition double CD digipack physical release via Bandcamp though for €17 EUR or more.
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Comes in a glossy digipack featuring artwork by Igor Sokolskiy. Includes single "The Day is Done".

Includes unlimited streaming of "Passage to the Forest of Mysterious" & "Birds" (Hi-Res 24-48) via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.
The two images are for the "Passage to the Forest of Mysterious" (on the left) & "Birds" (on the right) discs that are included in the package. The original track 9: "Mysterious Forest Fan Bandcamp Preview" (11:11) seems to be have been replaced in the final package (on the "Birds" CD, track 6) by "Birds of Passage and the Enchanted Forest (Single Version)", so that original track will now probably not exist anywhere other than in the homes of those who have already downloaded it.

As for the PA album that Mayer added, and which is also still on RYM, I'd be inclined to replace it with the final release version that's now on Bandcamp, though the track running order seems to be different for the digital album and the physical digipak version.

14th Karfagen album (special edition double CD & digital album):

CD1
1. Kingfisher And Dragonflies (part 4) (3:01)
2. Mysterious Forest (part 1) - World In A Grain Of Sand (14:03)
3. Mysterious Forest (part 2) - The Ominous Ride (4:21)
4. To Those Who Dwell In Realms Of Day (2:18)
5. Birds Of Passage And The Enchanted Forest (19:02)
6. Through The Whispers Of The Wind (1:38)
7. Mysterious Forest (part 3) - World In A Grain Of Sand Reprise (4:15)

CD2
8. Birds (part 1) (22:08)
9. Birds Piano Intermezzo (1:14)
10. Birds (Part 2) (7:09)
11. Birds (Part 3) (18:40)
12. The Day Is Done (4:48)
13. Birds Of Passage And The Enchanted Forest (Single Version) (9:59)

Digital album:

8. Birds Of Passage And The Enchanted Forest (Single Version) (9:59)
9. Birds (part 1) (22:08)
10. Birds Piano Intermezzo (1:14)
11. Birds (Part 2) (7:09)
12. Birds (Part 3) (18:40)
13. The Day Is Done (2023 Remastered Version) (4:48)

Total time 112:36

As for it now being included as a compilation on PA, Antony Kalugin calls it his 14th Karfagen album on his Bandcamp, so I reckon it should really be in the studio albums after all, but that's ultimately for you guys to decide! LOL

^ Yes, damn confusing.

Looks like Passage to the Forest of Mysterious should stay as it is in Studio, while Birds and Birds & Passage to the Forest of Mysterious have to be deleted. Confused

^ I would go as far as to say it's a damned nightmare!

I never looked to see what other albums had recently been added to the Karfagen page on PA, but yes, the album that is being discussed above, Birds and Birds & Passage to the Forest of Mysterious (currently in compilations) and the Birds album in studio releases both have to go, as it seems they were only available temporarily as a stop gap while the Passage To The Forest Of Mysterious & Birds Limited 2CD digipak that we have in studio albums (& currently named just 'Passage to the Forest of Mysterious') was being prepared.

However, the track list as we currently have it on this studio release is not correct, as much confusion exists.

I took the listing in my previous post above from bandcamp, where down towards the bottom of the page it shows:

14th Karfagen album (special edition double CD)
1CD
1. Kingfisher and Dragonflies part 4
2. Mysterious Forest part 1 - World in a Grain of Sand
3. Mysterious Forest part 2 - The Ominous Ride
4.To Those Who Dwell in Realms of Day
5. Birds of Passage and the Enchanted Forest
6. Through the Whispers of the Wind
7. Mysterious Forest part 3 - World in a Grain of Sand Reprise

2CD
1. Birds part 1
2. Birds Piano Intermezzo
3. Birds part 2
4. Birds part 3
5. The Day is Done
6. Birds of Passage and the Enchanted Forest (Single Version)

However, Caerllysi Music's page for the album, which also gives its title as 'Passage To The Forest Of Mysterious & Birds', gives the following (I've rearranged it here into PA format):

Disc 1: (58:37)
8. Birds of Passage and the Enchanted Forest (Single Version) (9:59)

Disc 2: (57:19)
9. Birds (part 1) (22:08)
10. Birds Piano Intermezzo (1:14)
11. Birds (Part 2) (7:09)
12. Birds (Part 3) (18:40)
13. The Day is Done (2023 Remastered Version) (4:48)
14. Birds Short Introduction (3:20)

Total time 115:56

Caerllysi Music are Antony Kalugin's UK partners, and would be the first to know of any latest news regarding this artist's releases, so I would take this info as gospel. This tracklist is confirmed by the images from the CD package uploaded yesterday to facebook too, though you can't quite make out the exact lettering due to the low quality of the image.

This tracklist also now matches the digital one for the album on Bandcamp too, apart from the absence of track 14, 'Birds Short Introduction' (3:20), which is only available if you purchase the physical CD version.

So, in summary, I agree with the above actions, but I'd be inclined to rename the studio album we are keeping as 'Passage To The Forest Of Mysterious & Birds', and to alter its tracklist as discussed above.

E&O Team: Thanks, the following done:
1. The title of studio album https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=78346 changed to "Passage To The Forest Of Mysterious & Birds".
2. Track list changed as suggested.
3. Asked admins to delete Birds and Birds & Passage to the Forest of Mysterious entries.

^ Thanks, but I would leave it as is because it's hard to distinguish between tracks and subtracks on LP, while some (if not all) CDs have tracks with numbers from 1 to 11.

Thanks for the update, but the sub-tracks on the album still need to be fixed. Smile

1. Good Day (6:43)
2. New Day Dawning (5:01)
3. What Ya Gonna Do? (5:24)
4. 1-2-3-4 (12:43)

- b. Squeeze
- c. Mr. H
8. Wings (3:45)
9. Odyssey (14:26) :

- b. Never Never Never

Progarchives - https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=2732

E&O Team: Thanks, it seems Julien already fixed it.
I only made "lettering" of subtracks consistent (a. b. c. instead of a), b), c) in track 9.

I understand your point of view. But I believe the track-list on the album should reflect the original release, rather than the reissues and remasters that came out after.

In addition, I believe this track-list better represents the artist's original vision for the album. That vision being two long suites, rather than eleven individual tracks divided by two headers. ^ OK, but if you play the album on some digital device and see that, for example track 7 plays now, it's not so easy to decide what title has the piece.

As a compromise I've added the following note in the Release info:
LP has two long suites titled simply "Part One" and "Part Two" with 7 and 4 subtracks accordingly, on CDs tracks are numbered from 1 to 11.
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)
