Nothing that I could find was posted about there being no show this past Sunday/Monday morning. 

There was the redo of the words by Ray Milland and Ruth Hussey, which suggested that Guy is likely to be thinking about stopping the show after being on it since 1974.

I don't know ... health aside ... it might be difficult to continue at that prescribed and historic time for the show, but maybe a "more normal" time for the show would be better and easier to Guy and all folks in America, at least. Kinda sad, though, because we know and can see the number of folks from elsewhere, and their hours changing to some that might not be as good.

All in all, if this is about health, please take a little time off to wind down some, Guy ... many of us have appreciated your work for many years (me from the start!!!!), and seeing these lists, is neat, and very different ... when you compare to any other list from a few shows that are listed on PA, the wide choices and variety itself, eats up the competition that considers itself "progressive", and their "progression" shows no history of the movement in the art whatsoever ... just well "known" (per ratings) bands and songs. On occasion someone plays a nice this or that which is different, but it often lasts 3 minutes and back to the same old song! Not Guy! You will hear something else, and get even more ideas blasted out of your head.

Hopefully all is well with Guy and family ... and that all's well that ends well ... I wish I had the energy, or desire, for public intoxication and do a show of music again like I did 20 years ago ... but the knowledge, or idea, that someone can pull the plug, who doesn't care about the music has been the one thing that prevents me from doing it ... my show was not a copy of anyone ... it was a show about various folks and bands with a long stretch on various bands. Some of the guilty? Man, Hawkwind, Caravan, Guru Guru, ECM, Camel, Roxy Music, String Driven Thing, Can, Duncan Browne and many others ... it was thoughtfully appreciated by a few musicians that emailed me directly and their heart and appreciation was enough to make me cry. And all of it came from my collection, though today, with the Internet connection and many mp3's the ability to play and show more would be nice.

Today, though, I probably would start with Djam Karet ... about 2 to 3 hours worth! Man had 2 hours, and most of the other bands also did. 

I am not, and never have been, a fan of any kind of "fan voting" to decide what is right or good for you to listen to. And my show, was about the "art" in it all, and that was that. No one I ever met or heard ever said anything bad about it. And while each show averaged about 2 and a half hours, on a Real Audio Server with 25 feeds (had the license for it!), in the end, I found out that the average listener to my show stuck around at least 20 plus minutes, and I always gushed and cried about that ... I knew some folks were listening.

Today, I'm not sure we can get the same/similar response. Guy had a nice advantage with his extensive radio experience, but in the end, a lot of his famous battles (used to be listed on the blog thing for a while), ended up likely hurting him more than anything else, Sometimes, battle scars hurt ... and while I remember my old roomie having some inner battles, and with a station that did not really care for what he did was even appreciated it enough with the exception of one person or so, to the point that he was still fighting to help pay rent, and getting past his macaroni and cheese diet. But those days were also filled with theater, and some far out moments ... how can I forget the mummy standing up on his bed, on my way to work! And how can I forget the exciting and neat bathroom art collection!

I guess the world moves on ... the only wish I have is that I can visit and meet Guy and Paul one last time, just to hug and smile ... we still remember each other, although I was the bad English speaking and one that couldn't even say one line on stage "correctly", a Portuguese idiot that accidentally broke a can opener by stepping on it!

Life is tough ... and then you laugh or cry ... Guy, please get well, and you too Paul ... hopefully things are better for you after the bad time as well. I've been lucky ... the worst I had was a small operation to clear up my nasal passages so I can breathe better, specially at night. And I still dislike doctors and hospitals like a plague!  

But missing Guy and another show ... oh well, I have over 500 hours of his shows with about 200 of them in the past 4 years on that twerking thing ... oh wait ... bewitching thing!
