Hi everybody! Last week I found some post-rock songs and bands (Silent Island, and others) watching Youtube and I would like to learn more about that style of music. Maybe prog-rock is the frontier of rock?? Post-rock is prog-rock? Which genre is the original or maybe the origin for both?? I am trying to label all these new sounds and rhythms but I can't. I feel fear and curiosity... I am going to start walking the Golden Path of music. Congratulations for this forum, nowadays is difficult to find alive communities like this! Thanks a lot!

Lots of different kinds of music falls under prog rock. Post-rock is definitely one of them. But during my time here I learned about so many different bands that I would have never even guessed out without site.
