Why oh why does life seem so much better in the movies. It’s actually really very dull and boring whenever you really think. About it. The constant motivation to get up and at it. Without the constant desire just to do absolutely nothing at all. Yes it is true that, I’m having trouble getting motivated today myself no great mystery behind it. I’m seriously lacking motivation to go-go despite needing to do all the work that requires me to do it. And no amount of coffee is going to help me out either way lol. Motivation simple lol. Ok let’s see what happens next LOL]

The Renaissance (UK: /rɪˈneɪsəns/ rin-AY-sənss, US: /ˈrɛnəsɑːns/ (listen) REN-ə-sahnss)[1][a] is a period in European history marking the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity and covering the 15th and 16th centuries, characterized by an effort to revive and surpass ideas and achievements of classical antiquity. It occurred after the Crisis of the Late Middle Ages and was associated with great social change. In addition to the standard periodization, proponents of a "long Renaissance" may put its beginning in the 14th century and its end in the 17th century. The traditional view focuses more on the early modern aspects of the Renaissance and argues that it was a break from the past, but many historians today focus more on its medieval aspects and argue that it was an extension of the Middle Ages.[4][5] However, the beginnings of the period – the early Renaissance of the 15th century and the Italian Proto-Renaissance from around 1250 or 1300 – overlap considerably with the Late Middle Ages, conventionally dated to c. 1250–1500, and the Middle Ages themselves were a long period filled with gradual changes, like the modern age; and as a transitional period between both, the Renaissance has close similarities to both, especially the late and early sub-periods of either. The intellectual basis of the Renaissance was its version of humanism, derived from the concept of Roman humanitas and the rediscovery of classical Greek philosophy, such as that of Protagoras, who said that "man is the measure of all things". This new thinking became manifest in art, architecture, politics, science and literature. Early examples were the development of perspective in oil painting and the revived knowledge of how to make concrete. Although the invention of metal movable type sped the dissemination of ideas from the later 15th century, the changes of the Renaissance were not uniform across Europe: the first traces appear in Italy as early as the late 13th century, in particular with the writings of Dante and the paintings of Giotto. As a cultural movement, the Renaissance encompassed innovative flowering of Latin and vernacular literatures, beginning with the 14th-century resurgence of learning based on classical sources, which contemporaries credited to Petrarch; the development of linear perspective and other techniques of rendering a more natural reality in painting; and gradual but widespread educational reform. In politics, the Renaissance contributed to the development of the customs and conventions of diplomacy, and in science to an increased reliance on observation and inductive reasoning. This is a kora duet album by master kora player Jali Nyonkoling Kuyateh and his student from Manchester, John Haycock. released May 19, 2015 Koras - John Haycock and Jali Nyonkoling Kuyateh Piano track 10 - John Ellis Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by John Ellis at Limefield studios. Artwork by Jordan O'Brien. In a Bloopy Mood by John Haycock: John's debut solo EP, released on Limefield Records. This EP is a result of John studying kora (21 string West African harp) for 10 years with Gambian griot, Jali Nyonkoling kuyateh including spending time studying and traveling in The Gambia. More recently John began experimenting with modern compositional techniques such as looping, sampling and signal processing using hardware electronics, also incorporating clarinet, the instrument from his childhood. John has put together and impressive and unique live set, taking his kora and running it through electronic devices creating lush soundscapes and making solid beats with drum machines and samplers, overlaying it with woodwind instruments, bridging the gap between ancient West African folk melodies and modern electronica. John was one of the recipients of the most recent round of the Steve Reid innovation award, who have part funded this project and provided mentorship for John. Emanative (Nick Woodmansey) and Sarathy Korwar from the Steve Reid Foundation have both contributed, Emanative (A trustee of the charity) with production and mixing and Sarathy (a previous awardee) with tabla. Both have provided advice and guidance to John. New musician to me. But I’m hooked now… |

I also make music under the guises The Lovely Moon, The Ambient Visitor, Kowalski Room, Theta Wave Orchestra, Ethereal Ephemera, Blocker and maybe more... Currently, I play keyboards in Daniel Land's live band. The True Joy is in the Mystery: A little Christmas surprise! Warm atmospheric ambient music to soothe your soul. I've been working on this piece of music over the last few days. It changed a lot over those days. It starts off in quiet lo-fi ambient territory and becomes more grand and warm, like the sun rising over a frozen winter lake. The music feels quite festive to me so I decided to share it now. Thank you for listening and supporting my music over the last year. I hope this festive season and the year ahead bring you warmth and happiness. A note about the new CD version (released 17 January 2023): The original version was produced very quickly and released on a whim over the festive period. Some interest was shown in the album being released on CD, so when I had a chance, I put together a slightly longer version which extends the second half of the piece. Well I’m in an area of complex but. Completely in focus with my own peace of mind. Even though it’s Monday morning and. I’ve already had four cups of coffee and researching and listening to some. New and old musicians on. Bandcamp and Spotify which most likely is the main source of my state of mind lol. And it’s been a huge spectrum of different musical styles, whether it’s progressive music or not it’s a combination between the music and me. Which is as it should be. The concept of mindfulness and awareness of the music itself has become aspirational in many avenues for my own personal mental health state of being so. The two themes are both as one…

The Vintage Caravan: The Vintage Caravan are a rock band from Álftanes, Iceland. The band was formed in 2006 by Óskar Logi Ágústsson and Guðjón Reynisson before bassist Alexander Örn Númason joined after the first studio album. As of 2021, the band have released five studio albums and are currently signed with Napalm Records. Kadavar: Kadavar is a German rock band from Berlin, founded in 2010. Their retro style, incorporating psychedelic rock and stoner rock, has been compared to bands of the 1970s hard rock/heavy metal era such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Kadavar currently consists of guitarist/lead vocalist Christoph "Lupus" Lindemann, drummer Christoph "Tiger" Bartelt and bassist Simon "Dragon" Bouteloup. |
