Mmm it’s an oolong sort of day. As there’s absolutely no motivation in doing absolutely anything. Why’s or wherefores not known, maybe it’s just one of those things we humans go through during the winter months or. Possibly not as the case maybe. The only positive thing that. I’ve done this morning is researching the whole situation with the newish progressive rock bands, there is like The Mighty Ra/Ghost Of The Machine and so many. More. I’d count the bands I Am Manic Whale & This Winter Machine within my research and the development process of the genre’s theses bands cover. Is breathtakingly beautiful. Its added to the creative, thought provoking, intelligent and inspiring nature of the whole of the musical umbrellas called Progressive Rock which is as always truly unique…

Can our society get any worse than what’s happening now. People being shot at outside a place of worship. And the youth of today carrying knives or guns. It’s truly frightening to comprehend. Plus find out police officers have committed horrendous crimes against the community. My trust wasn’t that great before. The latest incident happened but. Now it’s totally gone. Especially since the news last night that there’s 1,000 officers under investigation for criminal investigation scary thoughts indeed. Who can you trust if it isn’t the law informant officials!

Going to try to end on a positive note. Mmm it’s not happening so. Be careful, safe and healthy. Please try to have a great day today…

I Am The Manic Whale are brilliant, one of the best prog bands in the country. I've got all their albums and there's a new one in the pipeline.

Eeks! You should see my If Only I Had The Whacking Price Of The Albums wishlist lol. It’s nearing the £300 mark already. Mostly purchases off of Bandcamp and. The cost of shipping and the tax. Pushing it near the £400 bracket and. My financial situation has improved significantly since the end. Of last year, so it’s a little waiting game to save up the funds for the additional expenses. I’m hoping that it will be done sooner than later lol.

Went for dinner at a local hungry horse restaurant, the meal was delicious we. Then went to a meeting with the mental health nurse and it went really great. Once home watched an episode of Inspector Lewis and then watched, Secret Nazi Bases followed by the national news media. Now watching a dvd movie Hellboy and I’ve an interesting hindsight from a conversation from many years ago with a friend, which sadly as since passed away. Luckily I kept my journals from my teenage years and. I’m now going to revisit it.

Wishlist number one/two albums is.
Transcriptions by Clive Mitten 21 tracks, 2 hours

Transcriptions is Clive’s brand-new and first purely ‘classical’ album. Previously Clive has given orchestral ‘re-compositions’ of various Twelfth Night tracks (Suite Cryptique), and then to the progressive sounds that soundtracked his teenage years (Tales From A Misspent Youth – Vol I).   However, this time is it the world of traditional classical music that Clive has reached into for his latest release where he has interpreted some well-known and well-loved classical pieces. All the music was arranged (transcribed), programmed and recorded by Clive in his London home September 2021 to September 2022. Transcriptions is being released as a double CD in November 2022.   Transcriptions by Clive Mitten: Eight pieces for pianos and orchestra   constructed by Clive within Logic Pro production software utilising multiple orchestral and piano sample libraries programmed from controller keyboards taking orchestral scores, transcribing them for piano, then arranging them for piano and orchestra

Seven by Magenta 7 tracks, 1 hour

No movie researching.

Pallas are a Scottish progressive rock band from Aberdeen. They were one of the bands at the vanguard of what was termed neo-progressive during progressive rock's second-wave revival in the early 1980s. Other major UK acts included Marillion, IQ, Twelfth Night, Pendragon and Solstice.

Been researching:
website   Freedom To Glide biography Founded in Hartshorne, UK in 2010 F2g is the coming together of musicians Pete Riley and Andy Nixon. Both Pete and Andy have for many years played together in the Pink Floyd tribute band Dark Side of the Wall, an award winning Midlands based band that has toured the UK from Whitehaven to the Isle of Wight ? ?That?s how we both met.? Unbeknownst to them at that time, on the 13th March 2010 the seed was sown for what would become Freedom To Glide. The tribute band were playing a concert in Manchester and after the band had sound checked Pete was chatting to Andy about a song ?Hypnotized? that he was recording. The song needed some acoustic guitar so he asked Andy if he?d be interested in taking a listen and maybe laying down the guitar. A week later, the track came back not only with guitar, but drums, bass and backing vocals! ?It was just awesome. The song had now taken a totally new direction. Andy?s input had changed everything, musically we just simply clicked ? Thinking back, it was one of those eureka moments.? Soon after ?Hypnotized?, Pete sent Andy a keyboard intro with all sorts of military radio chatter and sound effects and the simple statement ? ?it?s a song about WW1 soldiers falling like rain on the battlefield, fancy a crack at this one too?? The reply came back ?Roger that?? Rain was born! During April both Andy and Pete worked on ?Rain? but that wasn?t the only track that was being written. Andy wrote demo?s for ?Wind? and an instrumental track that would later become 'Price of Freedom'?. This was getting serious. Geographically we live over forty miles apart. Andy in West Midlands and Pete in Derbyshire. This hasn't been an issue though. We both have our own studios at home and the recording is done separately then it comes together electronically via the Internet and hard copies on discs. In fact we could be on the other side of the world and still be creating music together. You don?t need to be in the same room to create ideas and demos, but we do get together for the important stuff like mixing and idea discussions ? after all we are a band. So we had a concept for an album, we had the first set of demos songs steadily building but one thing was missing ? we didn't have a name? This proved to be the hardest part about our collaboration so far. We spent hours and used up nearly all of our free text messages sending ideas to and thro, but a name just simply came out of nowhere, a phrase that just said it all: Freedom to Glide

It’s Friday and now drinking coffee and listening to Yes - Yessongs and here’s a band that I would like to share with you all.
BIOGRAPHY Returned To The Earth are an Alternative, Art Rock, Post Rock band. Originally from Warwickshire in the UK their 4th album Fall Of The Watcher is out 15th April 2022 mastered by Steve Kitch (The Pineapple Thief)   Returned To The Earth are:-
Oh and.
Due 27 Jan 2023 ‘Fall of the Watcher’ has already been shortlisted for album of the year by ‘The Prog Report’ website and the title track nominated for best single. RTTE main man Robin Peachy: “I like the meaning behind the phrase Returned To The Earth which is a direct reference to the cycle of life and returning to the soil. My music is influenced by many styles but mainly between Prog to Alt Rock and my only real criteria is that the music is interesting and fits with the overall feel of the album. I like melody and emotion above virtuosity and I like songs to have the time to breathe and develop naturally. ‘Fall Of The Watcher’ was written and recorded through 2019 - 2021 and reflects the world and my own experiences over this time. It was written as an album to be listened to from start to finish rather than a collection of individual songs and it covers personal loss, the pandemic and a commentary on the state of the world. It’s a very exciting time to be joining GEP, a well respected Prog label, and I hope this is the start of a great relationship which enables me to reach more people with my music.”    1. It’s been a long time since. I listened to the Yessongs album and even though it’s just the second track. I’m in total euphoria and can’t stop thinking about the whole experience of when, I first heard it all those years ago magical how music can transport you back through time and beyond. I feel a nostalgic level of listening pleasure coming on. Literally filled with Yes/Genesis/Crimson/Tull & ELP plus as many of the 60/70’s musicians that yours truly can fit in the day…
