I really dig this act this might be my biggest find in 2023. Really like the vocals, the dreamy arrangement, the surprising chord changes, use of wierd keys. The singer have a phenomenal tone, melody and vibrato, and controll. If your into the Verve and Radiohead you will also appreciate the Sundays.

they are taking me with lots of surprises with their elegantness and clever songwriting, very smooth vocals, that are silky and velvety but also cold as silver

I concur, she's one of my favourite female vocalists. I bought their debut album when it first came out, haven't listened to much more by them but should do really.

Thanks for posting I’ve never heard of them until your post. Went on Spotify and had a listen to the first and second album’s and now. It’s going onto Amazon to see if they’re available to purchase. Once again thank you.

A new band for me to explore for my Dream Pop collection - they somehow manage to have passed me by.  As far as I can ascertain they only made three albums.

I'm not sure about classifying Fairground Attraction as dream pop - they are more like folk / skiffle / light jazz to my ear.

Artists currently in my dream pop folder: Julee Cruise (the queen!), Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Lykke Li, Mylene Farmer, Say Lou Lou, Scarlett Johansson (her album 'Anywhere I Lay My Head' is bang on for the genre), and This Mortal Coil.

I was classifying Fairground Attraction as Indie Folk-Pop. Wink

Ah right - their debut (and only 'proper') album* 'First of a Million Kisses'  has been on my Desert Island list almost since it first came out. It's not often that debut albums are perfection in my book.

*their only other album was just a collection of leftover debris.
