Revolving Doors: Jon Anderson talks about the comings and goings of various YES members over the years, including the times when he first met Steve Howe (in Bodast) and Rick Wakeman (in the Strawbs) in Part 7 of the Rock History Music interview.

Just in time for Christmas.....

Not one of the greatest Christmas albums, it has to be said, but still much better than "Shatner Claus: The Christmas Album", although that's no great recommendation. Tongue

In Part 9 of the Rock History Music interview, Jon talks about the possibility of getting back together with YES again and also says his album "In the City of the Angels" recorded with Toto was a big hit in Quebec province, Canada,  but peculiarly, wasn't a hit anywhere else in the world. Confused

Jon Anderson has sung with more bands than I care to remember, including The Band Geeks, and I love this Yessong, in a Roundabout way. Smile

In the 12th and final part of the Planet Rock History interview, Jon Anderson talks about the ignominy of being kicked out of YES and how Bill Bruford broke his heart. Not a positive note to end on then. Ouch  Broken Heart

Hold the Line! We're In the City of Angels for Jon's Toto album, recorded shortly before his move to California. Look out for Chris Squire making a cameo appearance on double bass in the video below. Wink

Jon gives no details of how Bill broke his heart. Bill left because Yes did not challenge him anymore. Bill wanted to expand his musical horizons, to become a better musician and Yes no longer offered that.

I was a bit baffled too and wondered quite how Bill Bruford broke Jon Anderson's heart. I must admit, I've never been a big fan of Bill Bruford's solo albums or his albums with Earthworks, but here he is making a great comeback in his outstanding solo drumming spot with Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe in An Evening of YES Music Plus back in 1989. Clap
