If Therion doesn't win this, there is something clearly wrong...

although the After Forever, Kamelot, Within Temptation and Xandria are also very good albums..

Cristi told me Therion's Theli album is good too, so I'm looking forward to hearing it for the first time.

I have Theli and must listen to it again….but I have to decide between Within Temptation and Nightwish here. Can I vote against an album containing one of my favourite songs of all time? Yes - I go with The Unforgiving for it’s consistency - fantastic pop metal and SDA’s voice has never sounded better😎

Not sure about this one. Among the ones I know I don't remember any being among my very favourites... I guess the right choice should be Theli, though.

I certainly agree, Runes is an excellent album, but there is a degree of inevitable re-using the template that had previously been created in Theli and Vovin; albums which created and mostly defined a whole genre. I do like Within Temptation a lot too... but it is mostly Mother Earth the one that I really love... actually, it's that one and Secret of the Runes that I love most of what little I have heard from this kind of metal... and Imaginaerum. I don't know, there's something special about those albums. As for Secret of the Runes and Theli and Vovin, perhaps I give my preference to Secret of the Runes because of my love of Viking Mythology, but overall the music within does deliver.
